It was a lighthouse! Erica went inside and I followed her revealing a spiral staircase going upstairs. Erica had gone first as I follow her I can hear her laughing and giggling in happiness. She was different from the Erica I first met.
“What took you so long?” she asked and started to laugh.
I can’t even talk cause I’m trying to catch my breath.
“Hey look.” She said while pointing at the beautiful sunset in front of our eyes. “Isn’t beautiful?” she asked.
“It is beautiful.” I answered.
“My father said that the sunset helps you forget what makes you distorted. It gathers the things that bothering you and taking them away with it. It helps you forget your problem and…” Erica started crying.
“Hey, what’s the matter?” I asked.
“I just broke up with my boyfriend.” She stated her problem crying.
I thought she’s ok. It was just a minute ago when I heard her laughing and giggling in joy.
“I thought breaking up with him makes me feel free but now all I can feel is the pain in my heart. Help me Kyle. Please help me lessen the pain.” Erica begged me while crying.
I try to hug her as tight as I can to help her lessen the pain.
‘There are things that the sunset can’t remove from this world. You need to be strong enough to wipe them with your own.’ –Klyde.
“Erica, I can guide you home later if you want.” I offered.
“Thanks Kyle.” She answered sobbing.
I guided her from the lighthouse to their house.
“Thank you Kyle for everything. See you tomorrow.” She said with a smile.
“There you’re beautiful again.” I cracked a joke.
“Silly!” she said. I knew she was flattered on what I had said.
“Well then I’ll be going now, see you tomorrow.” I said and went home.
…
“Mom I’m home!” I called for mom.
“I’m here!” she answered in the kitchen.
“Seat and let’s have a dinner.” Mom invited me.
My mom and I talk a lot while eating. After eating I proceed to my room. I decided to write on my diary first before going to bed. I sat down in front of my study table opposite the door and opened my diary;

‘Dear Diary,
Today I officially meet Erica Hartfilia, the girl whom I gave my handkerchief last night.
This morning I saw her differently, she was so happy to see me again. But then she removed her mask when we are at the lighthouse watching the sunset. There I saw her innocent face again begging for help. I came to think to myself, do I deserve to fulfill her wish to help her lessen the pain, the pain that ripping her heart out of her chest?
If I were to compare Erica to a thing, I would compare her to a kite. A kite that once can fly freely and high in the sky. But one day I found her laying beneath the ground with a broken wing begging for help.
I also found out that my friend, Tyler was the one who made her feel imperfect.’

I stopped from writing to think what’s next.
The next morning I woke up on my bed. I tried to look for my diary, I found it closed on the top of my study table.
