Gabe woke early that morning, it was a Saturday and he was off. He crept to the end of the hall way and peaked his head in on Meghan, she was fast asleep. He decided to go make breakfast, she had said that the kitchen was open to him. When he got down stairs he flipped on the lights and began to look in the cabinets quietly before putting a pot of coffee on. He then turned his music on and began to move around the kitchen easily. He decided on making bacon, eggs, and pancakes with strawberries like she used to love. He was actually quiet suprised to find that she had all of the food in her fridge. As he was preparing the batter for pancakes the door opened and in walked an older woman with bags in her hands, Gabe froze. The woman spoke before she looked up, "oh meg, that smells wonderful." Gabe cleared his throat and her head quickly snapped up, "you're not Mrs. Meghan." She took in his attire, no shirt and just sweat pants, before walking to the island. "I'm gabrielle, Mrs. Meghan's housekeeper." Gabe nodded and looked down at his watch, "it's 6 in the morning, I'm just surprised anyone is here. I'm sorry." She chuckled, "i have the weekends off but i always bring Mrs. Meghan her groceries this early because she is normally asleep and i won't disturb her." "This is why she has all of this." He thought then He nodded, "would you like some pancakes, Mrs. Gabrielle?" She smiled and shurgged her shoulders. "So youngman, may i ask what you're doing here? Mrs. Meghan doesn't have guests often." He slightly grinned at that, "I'm an old friend, we shared a couple bottles of wine and i crashed in her spare room." Gabriella nodded and smiled warmly understanding the situation.

Meghan awoke to the most wonderful smell, she pulled on her slippers and walked down stairs in a baggy t-shirt and shorts. She smiled when she saw Gabe cooking, then she noticed Mrs. Gabriella. She walked up as Gabriella saw her and hugged her warmly "would you like a cup of coffee, Mrs. Gabriella?" Gabriella grabbed her hand and nodded softly. "And you, Gabe?" He nodded and gave her a smile. When she was finished making the coffee she leaned next to Gabe "need any help?" He looked over at her, "no, now go sit down." She rolled her eyes but did as told. "Thank you Mrs. Gabriella." Meghan said and she slid into the bar stole next to her. "You know i want you to eat darling, you're too skinny." She replied. Meghan laughed, "i don't model anymore, but i do still enjoy staying fit." Gabriella just glared at her. "So Mr. Gabe here says y'all are old friends." Meghan gave Gabe a side look and nodded "you could say that. We met when we were really young." She nodded, "i have never heard of him. I know M- SJ, but nothing about Mr. Gabe" Meghan sipped her coffee, "well, we fell out of touch. Our lifes just took us in seperate directions and we just now reconnected." Gabriella sipped her coffee and gave meghan a look. Gabe handed over the plates "dig in ladies." before grabbing his own and placing it next to Meghan's.

After breakfast Mrs. Gabriella tried to clean up but Meghan refused to let her "you know you have the weekends off, i can do a couple dishes Mrs. Gabriella." She sighed, "i suppose Tommy will be waking up soon, i will see you on monday Meg." They hugged and she left. Gabe spoke first "i didn't know you had a house keeper." Meghan shrugged "she was with the last owner and i couldn't put her out of a job. No matter how many times i tell her that she doesn't work on the weekends she always restocks my fridge on Saturday." Meghan laughed a little. He nodded, "You two seem to be close." Meghan smiled as she drank her coffee, "she reminds me of home. Mom constantly telling me to eat, meme always hanging about helping, and she just wants to take care of me." Meghan got up and began to place all the dishes in the sink. Gabe watched her as she moved about, "i don't mean to sound rude, but how do you afford all of this?" She continued to clean, "well like i said i had all this money and i had no clue what do with it, so i paid off mom's bills and then had a lot left over so i started investing in companies. Now i have even more money that i have no clue what to do with. I mean 46% of all the money that comes from my investments go to charities. 10% goes to a retirement fund and 20% goes into a savings account and the rest just sits in my bank account." He nodded in awe. "You've done well for yourself meg." She smiled, "yeah, yeah i have. It took a crap ton of work though. When we did photoshoots or had to walk the runway in a foreign country, i took my books and was constantly studying. Some of the other models would read my books because they were interested, some poked fun because i was "no fun" and "letting my beauty go to waste", and others just came to chill in my room because it was so different." She met his eyes, "you've done well for yourself too, g, 5 tours is a big deal." She watched as the sadness took over his features, she reached over and placed her hand over his "you don't have to tallk about it, i know it was hard for you." He felt as her thumb grazed over his skin just before she released it. "Life back here is weird, slow. I'm so used to constant missions that i never got down time." Meghan nodded as she listened while she worked.

They moved to the balcony, "this is my favorite part of the apartment. I drink my coffee out here most mornings." Gabe looked out over the city, "it is beautiful." She gazed out as a warm breeze blew over them. They were silent for the time then a phone began to ring. It was Gabe's. "Hello?" He answered. "Yes, i know i didn't come back last night." He rolled his eyes as Meghan held back a laugh. "No mom, I'm fine. I'm obviously not in danger i answered my phone." He said as a bored expression took over his face. Meghan walked back in and sat at the bar as Gabe talked.

When he was finished he came in with a smile, "sorry, I'm 27 and she still wants to know where i am." Meghan laughed and shook her head "its what a mother does." A slightly sad expression took over her face before she replaced it with a neutral look. Gabe noticed but said nothing. She sighed "I'm going to go get changed, i need to work out." He began to stammer, "oh- uh- I'll go get changed and head out." She started laughing. "You can work out with me Gabe, i have my own gym." He scratched the back of his neck "oh." She smiled "you were always a bit awkward around me, guess some things never change." He gave her a look that said "shut up" which made her laugh even more.
