"EXCUSE ME?" I SAID, startled at what Dumbledore had just told me. Ginny Weasley was my sister. My sister. Oh God, this makes things weird. Especially between me and Fred. I shudder.
"Who else knows?" I ask.
"Just you. Of course, Arthur and Molly know that Ginerva has an older sister your age, but not that it's you. I suggest you tell Harry and Molly and Arthur, but let them tell Ginerva."
I nodded. "Is that all, professor?"
"Yes, that will be all for today, Miss Potter."
I took the light way back to the common room. I decided to take my time and enjoy my time at Hogwarts. It was, after all, my last day before going back home for the summer. Of course, taking the king way had it's consequences.
I frowned as he walked up to me. "What in the world could you possibly want, Draco?"
He just grinned. "Ah, Potter. Positive as ever."
I just repeated my question. "What. Do. You. Want."
He sighed. "In all honesty, I would love some lemonade right about now. And for you to see me as an actual human being. And, well, I- I wanted to apologize. For being an arse, I mean. And I hope we can still be friends."
I was at a total loss for words. Wow. "Honestly? That was the most sincere thing you've ever said, so apology accepted." I grinned at him.
I smirked at me. Oh great, what now? "May I escort the pretty lady back to her quarters?"
I chuckled. "Anything for you, asshat."
He fake gasped and pretended to be offended. I knew today was going to be a great last day.
—
"What do you mean you're not my sister? Of course you are!" Yep, this conversation want going well.
"Let me explain. I'm your sister, just not related by blood. Mom and dad adopted me because they had a miscarriage-they were going to have twins and lost one. So you were born and they adopted me because my biological family couldn't support me or give me a good life." I sighed.
"Wow. Any other shocking news?"
I half-grinned. "My parehts and siblings are still alive. All wizards."
"Siblings?"
"Yes, two. An older brother- his name is William Warren. He still lives with my parents. And a younger sister. Please don't freak out," I emphasized, "but her name in Ginerva Weasley."
"No way."
"Yes way. But you can't tell her. I'm going to tell Molly and Arthur so they can tell her."
Harry nodded. Then he grabbed my hand and dragged my or if the common room. "Come on, Heather! It's our last day at Hogwarts before we go back to the Dursleys, let's make it count!"
—
He dragged me into a hallway that want frequently used. He knocked twice on the wall. I giggled. "Harry, what are you-" I cut myself off when a door appeared. He opened it and revealed a cozy-looking room with some of my friends. Mione, Ron, Ginny, Fred, George, Neville, Luna, and a Hufflepuff I didn't know. One of Luna's friends.
"Woah-what is this place?"
"Welcome to the room of requirement. It appears when you need it. I actually found it when I, uh, needed to use the bathroom. Badly," said Ron, embarrassed.
"Of course you did, Ronniekins. That's such a you thing to do." I laugh.
We spent the day chatting and playing games, like truth or dare, wizard's chess, and a game with Berties Botts Jelly Beans. All in all, it was a day well spent.
On the train back to the station, I say next to Fred. "Promise to write me?" I asked.
"Of course," I smiled mischievously. "Maybe I'll send you some of Georgie and I's new products."
"Okie dokie then, Freddie," I grinned.
I spent the rest of the ride sleeping in Fred's shoulder.
—
"Hey, Molly, could I talk to you?" I asked.
"Of course, dear."
"I just wanted to let you know that I know about Ginny, how she's adopted," I whispered.
"Oh dear, how do you know?"
"Funny story, actually. Dumbledore told me because, well, I'm Ginny's older sister."
She didn't say anything. She just hugged me and smiled at me. Then she walked over to Ginny and told her that they needed to talk at some point. I smiled to myself.
"Well isn't someone looking happy?" I looked up to see Fred. I grinned at him.
"You could say that. I have everything I could ever want. Except now I have to suffer through this summer without bothering you." I pout. "It's not fair!"
"Oh quit whining. Plus, do you really think I'd let you walk away without some remind of me?"
"What?"
I looked around and see George staring at me. He was trying very hard to not laugh, but failed miserably. "Nice one, Freddie."
"What did you do?" I was horrified.
Fred smiled, seeing the Dursleys walk up. "Nothing permanent. And don't worry, muggles'can't see it." He winked at me.
Petunia walked up to me. "Please don't tell me they changed you at all. Please still be my little girl." She was acting like a helpless dog. Jesus Christ.
"If anything, they helped me become more like myself." I smirked, then turned to Fred. "Make sure you write me." I hugged him. "I'll miss you. And whatever you did, fuck you Fred." I whispered the last part so Vernon wouldn't hear me and literally kill me.
"No, no, no, mister. You will not be writing my daughter. No you won't!" Petunia shrieked.
Great. So that's how this is going to go.
I looked over at Harry, who gave me a lopsided grin that said 'whatever.' However, when I looked at his glasses I saw a reflection.
My
Hair
Was
Bright
Yellow.
I groaned and turned to Fred. "You. Are so dead." He smiled sheepishly.
I hugged Ginny goodbye. "I'll send you sweets. Don't let them be too mean to you." I nodded.
Next was George. "Give Fred hell for me while I'm not there."
He saluted. "Yes ma'am."
I hugged Mione next. "I'll miss you."
She nodded. "Same here."
Wow I really was going to miss them. It's not as if it's forever, though. Just a few months. I nodded to Molly.
"Heather! Let's go!" Petunia snapped. Jesus, this was going to be fun.
Note the sarcasm.
