"Kay, lessons are so boring without you." Ashley whined.
"Yeah I know, but at least you don't have Dexter in any of your classes."
"Hang in there for one more lesson, then it's lunch. I'm sure he can't be that bad." She tried to reassure me but it was not working.
"Trust me, he is."
We said our goodbyes and went to our separate lessons. I had English and she had art. Lucky bitch. Art was my favourite subject and what made me love it more this year, was the fact that it is one of the three subjects I don't have with him.
I made my way into class and sat down at the back of the classroom.
Our teacher, Mr Wilson, walked into class and began explaining our topic for our senior year.
"Okay class, this year we will be studying Romeo and Juliet. You will be paired up and will have to come up with a modernised script, which will then be performed by the drama club at the Masquerade Ball we will be having in a few months."
Just then Dexter decided to saunter into the classroom.
"How nice of you to join us Dexter." Mr Wilson said.
"Whatever." Dexter muttered before his eye scanned the room and landed on me. His signature smirk crept onto his face and he strolled towards the empty seat next to me.
Oh my lord.
"Fancy seeing you hear." he whispered in my ear and I could feel his breath fanning my neck.
"Piss. Off."
"Feisty. I like."
"You are so fucking impossible!"
"Mr Crosswell and Miss Cross, is there something you would like to share?" the teacher questioned.
Dexter answered him before I could.
"Yeah, Kalie was just wondering if she could be my partner for the project because she thinks we would work extremely well together." He shot me a wink.
"Okay then, thats fine with me."
I was speechless. If looks could kill Dexter would be six feet underground. He turned to face me with a massive victorious grin on his face.
"You evil little bitch!" I snarled.
"Oh please, you wanted to be my partner all along. Don't try acting like you didn't want this to happen."
This boy is going to be the cause of my death. I'm opting into ignoring him for the rest of the lesson.
5 minutes later
Poke.
Poke.
Poke.
Poke.
Poke.
"Sweet cheeks...why are you ignoring me?"
I turned to face him and gave him a 'are you seriously asking me that question' look.
"Please speak to me."
"Pretty please with a cherry on top. I'm sorry." he pleaded.
"Did Dexter the bad boy just say sorry to Kalie the good girl?" This time it was my turn to smirk.
He scowled, which made me chuckle.
"Don't get used to it. I only said it because I am bored and need someone to entertain me."
"Why exactly would I want to do that?"
"Because you want me to help you in this project." he smirked.
"Damn you." I grunted.
"Lets make a deal. If you want me to help you with this project, you can't ignore me in lessons and we must always work on it at my house."
"What's wrong with my house, it's just across the road from yours?"
"I don't want Vanessa to interrupt us. Deal."
"Deal."
Just then the bell went signalling the end of the lesson.
"Good. It was nice doing business with you." With that he slung his rucksack over his shoulder and walked out of class.

I was sitting at in the lunch hall with Aiden, Robbin, Ashley, Dylan and Kylie. This was my squad.
We've been best friends for such a long time, so we pretty much know everything about each other.
We were all telling stories about what happened during the summer, until Dexter came and interrupted us.
"Kalie, meet me at my house at 5 so we can start the project." He said smirking.
"Yeah, alright."
"Good girl." he patted my head and walked away.
I turned back to my friends and they were all staring at me with a shocked expression. Kylie was the one who broke the silence.
"What the fuck was that?!"
"We ended up being partners for the Romeo and Juliet project." I replied with a shrug.
"And your doing it at his house?" Dylan questioned.
"Yeah, it was part of the deal."
"What deal?" Ashley fired.
Gosh, what is this? 21 questions.
"The deal we made if I wanted him to help me with the project."
"Wow." Robbin muttered
You've got yourself into some deep shit." Dylan laughed.
"Tell me about." I sighed before going back to eating my food.
