"That's enough for today." Shigaraki gave an exasperated sigh as he glared at the girl in front of him.
"Thank you, sir." (Y/N) snagged a water bottle waiting on a desk to drink. The platinum blue haired teen watched as she chugged the entire bottle.
"... Good work today."
"Thanks."
Deafening silence filled the area, except for the sounds of a plastic bottle being crushed.
Eventually both stood up and left the training room. While the sound of their steps lingered, Shigaraki couldn't help but notice the look on (Y/N)'s face.
"You look disappointed."
Shigaraki's voice echoed through the corridor.
"Do you know what it's like to feel? I haven't done it in so long I forgot."
Shigaraki thought for a moment. "The only thing I've felt strongly of over the years was anger and sadness.
"You don't know what love feels like?'
"Nope, and I don't hope to find love anytime soon."
"Whenever you smile at me, don't you feel happy? Or at least proud?" While asking this, (Y/N)'s face can be described as emotionless. Her eyes stared at the farthest thing she could see, and her head was facing straight ahead. She didn't bother to face Shigaraki at all during their conversation.
"Smiling is short-lived happiness. After all, smiles can always be faked. But it's harder to see through fake sadness. Why are you asking about this all of a sudden?"
"I told you, after four years of suppressing my emotions. I've forgotten how to express them, nor do I remember how to feel anything at all. Everything is just so numb. The last thing I remember feeling was happiness, but that was when I got this necklace. And it was for a brief moment too."
"I told you," Shigaraki mimicked (Y/N). "The happiness you feel is just short. Truly, there's nothing on Earth that can make you truly happy. Nothing that can give you happiness forever."
"I'm trying to remember a time I was truly happy, but it was so long ago. Do you remember that time, Tomura?"
"I wasn't in your life then."
Soon enough, (Y/N) reached her room. "See you later, Tomura."
Her words were soon followed by the loud shut of a door.
As soon as the door closed, (Y/N) did her usual routine after training. She grabbed a new pair of clothes, a towel, and the rest of the things she needed for a bath.
She entered the restroom and began taking a long needed, relaxing shower.
Meanwhile, Shigaraki had began walking back to All for One to have a talk with him.
"Master, (Y/N) is developing her skills pretty quickly. She's pretty good for someone who is eleven."
"There are people who are seven, and are still much, much better than her. Train her harder, don't give breaks. We will not stop until she can-"
"Defeat the number one hero, I got that." Shigaraki cut his master off.
"You have given her too much of your faith. You must always take into consideration that she is not our only shot."
"Right, we have the Nomu."
"Indeed , Tomura Shigaraki. If in any case
we lose track of (Y/N), or she decides to leave us, we have the Nomu. So there is no point to get attached to her."
