The sky was grey as usual and under it were six teenagers walking on the broad train tracks. One was especially showy, her bright red dyed hair were the only thing shining in this world. She was by far the smallest and also youngest, Red. She was walking next to a thin girl with messy, brown hair. The girl turned to Red and slightly smiled. She was like a mother for her. Her name was Hope and she was the oldest of the group. Right behind her was her boyfriend, Dusty, talking to another guy called Happy. Moonie was following them a little further behind. Her appearance was nearly as showy as Red's. Her black hair were reaching her belly, something unusual. Usually girls cut their hair in case one of these soldiers wanted to drag them away by pulling their hair. She was staring at the boy with white hair in front of her, Light.
They were moving from their secret hiding to their home village again to check the curtain situation of the village. It was in a miserable condition and seemed abandoned, still most of the people settled down there. 40 years ago it was one of the biggest cities in the country but had to bear a lot of damage done by the men ruling the world. The city was called "Village of the lost hearts". There was barely no safety. You couldn't trust most of the soldiers, nor the police. They were easy to extort and used to take advantage of the current status. The only hope of the city was a small group of teenagers. They called themselves the "Children of the Blue Moonflowers". Why? The blue moonflower was a plant used as medicine but if you use too much of it, it became a drug. And guess what? And guess what, they used it as a drug but nobody knew about that fact.
Moonie was the leader of the group. She seemed tiny and week but got that much fire in her soul as her hair was red. They arrived in their village and started to walk around the streets. There wasn't much going on. Old salesmen trying to sell their foods, women coming from the river after washing there clothes, kids running around barefoot and playing in the dirt. But then something caught Happy's eyes: Four soldiers trying to rob an old men's food stand holding their guns in the direction of the aged.
"Please, my wife is sick. I need the money for her treatment. Please, I'm begging you!", the old man cried out for help and put his hands in front of his face to protect himself.
The soldiers just laughed at the man and still pointed their guns at him.
"Come on, old man. You and your wife will die soon anyways.", one of them said with this shitty smirk on his face.
Happy tapped on Dusty's shoulder as he saw this. Red and Moonie noticed too. The four nodded to each other. Only Happy and Light carried a small gun with them, they had to be careful and they knew that, everyone expect Red. She was free minded and had short temper. If anything went beyond her limits, she wouldn't be afraid to show it at all.
They moved between the soldiers and the salesman stepping forwards. Dusty pointed a finger gun at the head of one of them, Happy grabbed the front part of the gun of another one, Moonie took out a blue moonflower and put it inside the pocket of the third.
"Leave this poor man alone.", Red slightly raised her voice and stepped right in front of the fourth soldier. This man just greeted her with a dirty smile on his lips.
"Oh, look guys. The little bitch is here again to tell us the rules. How cute.", he purred with his deep voice, a familiar voice to Red. She knew this asshole since she was a little kid. He was something like the bully on the playground terrorizing the other kids. Of course he would end up like this.
"Shut up, asshole.", the redhead started, "You and your little bullshit friends are just little cocks who think they are big and cool with their shitty gu-"
She couldn't even finish her sentence. Soldier number four wrapped his hand around her jaw and lifted it slightly lifting her. He came closer, so their faces were only centimeters apart.
