Five stages of Grief.

1. Denial.

3rd POV.

Ethan's eyes adjust for awhile as the curly haired boy comes into view. He walks around the car as Ethan unlocks it allowing him to enter. "Hey E, are you ok?" Alex questions as he reaches a hand over to wipe Ethan's tears away. He sniffles and begins crying once again putting his head down.

"I can't believe I'm so freaking d-dumb Alex!" He chokes out not daring to look Alex in the eyes. Wiping away his tears with the sleeve of his sweater. Alex wraps his arms around him giving him a hug as he sobs into his shoulder.

"No you're not." Alex comforts rubbing his hand up and down Ethan's back. Ethan pulls away from the hug forcing a smile at the boy. Alex frowns at his reaction. "You don't have to force a smile to pretend you're ok." He replies placing a hand on tops of Ethan's. Ethan nods as his smile falters.

"I feel dumb." Ethan croaks out turning back in his seat. "Grayson is the dumb one for treating an angel like you as if you were trash!" Alex announces getting angrier by the second. Suddenly in the blink of an eye Alex heads towards the school once again. Ethan rushes out of the car almost tripping grabbing the furious boy's hand turning him.

"Don't do whatever I think you're going to do." Ethan croaks out as he sniffles. Alex nods as more and more kids begin to exit the school. Ethan turns around retreating back to his vehicle. Closing the door as he places his seatbelt on retreating Alex. "Sorry a-alex, I gotta go talk to you tommorow." Ethan quickly drives out of the parking lot not looking back at the boy's expression.

He drives home his face still red and puffy from tears. His nose bright red as he continuously sniffles. Reaching his house as he as he grabs his bookbag and heads towards the door. Grabbing his key he unlocks the house entering it to be met with his step father. His eyes widen once he notices Ethan's physique. Walking up to Ethan as he sits him down on the nearby couch.

"Ethan what happened?" The man questions in a comforting tone as he looks at Ethan. Ethan keeps his head down not making eye contact with him. Understanding he sits there for awhile awaiting for Ethan to be ready. After a few minutes he begins to speak actual words. "Just a d-dumb high school relationship. I'll get over him." He remarks quickly standing up heading for the stairs.

"It's Grayson, isn't it?" The man remarks sighing leaning back on the couch. Ethan halts in his steps quickly turning around. "T-That's not what I m-meant!" He exclaims not looking the man in the eye. He scoffs as Ethan's face heats up. "I've already known for the past week, Ethan." He remarks standing up and walking to the kitchen.

"H-how?" He stutters following after him. The man doesn't turn as he looks around in the fridge. "It's fine, I support you guys. Plus you aren't technically related so it's fine." He remarks grabbing an apple closing the fridge. Ethan nods slowly as he finishes his sentence. "Also don't mind my son. He's dumb and young but he'll come around." He assures ruffling Ethan hair walking to his bedroom.

Ethan turns walking up the stairs to his bedroom with his belongings. He grabs an deflated blow up mattress and a few covers. Along with his pillow and and extra things he needs. Marching down to the basement he begins to fix up. Thankfully, his mother had refurbished the basement so it was a mini room. A little chilly but it'll do.

He quickly walks back upstairs to take a shower. He finishes then grabs a pair of comfy pajamas. Finishing he rushes into the kitchen grabbing some food. As he walks back down to the basement the sound of a door is heard. He rushes downstairs to prepare his inflatable bed. Once he finishes he hears the murmurs of voices conversing, walking up to the door to eavesdrop. "It's not like I actually liked him."

Tears actually filled his eyes as he walked away from the door. Crawling into his 'new bed' as he stares up at the ceiling. The voices have soon stopped being replaced by footsteps. Being it is Friday, he shuts off his phone and lays comfortably. Closing his eyes trying not to think about the events. He soon falls into a deep sleep.

{Onto Grayson's Perspective. Still 3rd POV}

Grayson jumped off the bench in shame as everyone had walked away. Whispers were still heard as he walked out of the courtyard. "Fuck!" He mumbles underneath his breath as he watches his ride drive home. Technically he isn't surprised at Ethan's actions. He begins to walk home thinking over his decisions.

"I'm an asshole." He remarks as he walks along the sidewalk. As he walks a few droplets of rain come crashing down. He looks up getting even more droplets on his face. Putting his head down as countless profanities slip from his lips. He begins running home as rain falls down repeatedly. Karma really is a bitch.

He finally reaches his house passing Ethan's car and walking up the steps. He's soaked from head to toe in water as he enters the quiet house. Locking the front door he comes in contact with his father, arms crossed upon his chest. He sighs as his father points to the chair in front of him guiding him to sit.

He sits down on the chair putting his head down. "Really Grayson." His father remarks shaking his head. "I didn't have a choice, Okay!" He grunts looking at his fathers expression. A blank expression is put on his face. "Grayson, there is always a choice, do you really want to live with the guilt that you broke an innocent boy's heart."

"He had a crush on me. It's not like I actually liked him." The words slip from his lips as his stomach churns. Lies. Lies. Lies. His conscious knows it and so does his mindset. He had grown a bit of feelings for the boy. Just a little to dumb to admit it. "This isn't like you Grayson. Your mother would be ashamed." He remarks shaking his head and walking away.

Grayson scoffs walking up the stairs to his shared room. Just to be met with no one. Ethan's side of the room is partially empty but all his clothing was  still intact. Placing his bag on his bed as he carefully sits down. Not a  surprise that he doesn't want to sleep in the same room due to what happened. Standing up he goes on a search for Ethan.

Hesitantly he grabs the doorknob twisting it. Decidedly he opens the door looking around the house. During their 'relationship' Ethan and Grayson would play hide and seek instead of leaving home. That was all Grayson's idea.  Remembering Ethan's one and only hiding place, The basement.

He rushes down there confused on why he rushed. Opening the door to find an asleep Ethan in shorts and a T-shirt. He moves around startling Grayson until he halts movement. Grayson sighs and frowns walking over pulling the covers over the boy. Technically Grayson cannot be mad.

After all, this was all his fault.
