It's hard when we argue, we're both stubborn I know, but oh...
1 year later...
Louis didn't feel the vibe anymore. He felt as though he and Harry were growing apart. Harry was hanging with his own friends on his own time and so was Louis.
Louis thought that Harry was his soulmate. And Harry thought the same. But when Harry came back home from hanging with friends, Louis was on the couch reading a book and drinking tea sadden by his current relationship with Harry.
"How was your night?" Louis asked softly.
"It was fun." Harry ran his fingers through his hair and sat next to Louis. "What are you reading?"
"Of Mice and Men," Louis replied.
"What's wrong?" Harry asked. He heard the sad tone in Louis' voice.
"Nothing."
"Lou, I know there is something wrong, just tell me."
Louis sat his book down. He turned to Harry and Harry noticed that tears were building in Louis' eyes.
"Boo.."
"I just can't Harry." Louis sniffles.
"You can't what?" Harry puts his hand on Louis' cheek but Louis takes it off. "This. I can't do this."
"What is this Louis? I don't understand."
"Be in this relationship anymore. It's become too much and I just don't feel anything anymore. Maybe it's because we're young and don't know ourselves yet. We're only twenty-two. Or maybe we just need a break."
Harry's heart sunk to the floor. He never thought that those words would ever come out of Louis' mouth.
"Lou... You can't be serious." Harry was crying.
"I'm sorry Haz.." Louis went to grab Harry's hand but he stood up and pulled away.
"So we're breaking up?" Harry asked.
Louis just looked at him.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?" Harry yelled. "AFTER EVERYTHING WE'VE BEEN THROUGH LOUIS YOU WANNA JUST BREAKUP?"
"WELL IM SORRY THAT I'M NO LONGER HAPPY!" Louis yelled back. He stood up as well, looking Harry straight in the eye.
"WHY AREN'T YOU HAPPY? CAN'T WE JUST TALK SOMETHING OUT?"
"IM SORRY HARRY BUT THAT WON'T WORK THIS TIME!"
"WELL FINE THEN!" Harry ran upstairs and then quickly came back down. He had a tiny box in his hand. He threw at Louis and yelled. "JUST SO YOU KNOW, I WAS PLANNING ON PROPOSING SOON! BUT I GUESS THAT WON'T HAPPEN NOW!" Harry cried more and went back upstairs to pack.
Louis just stood there and stared at the ring in the box. Yeah, he would've loved for Harry to propose but, he wasn't ready for marriage because of this. He heard sounds of a sad man come down the steps. He watched as Harry brought his luggage down and give Louis the keys to the apartment.
"I won't be needing these anymore." Harry's lips quivered.
"Haz-"
"Don't call me that anymore." And after that, Harry grabbed the rest of his luggage and walked out the front door. Not one glance back to Louis at all.
