The next day, Yoshi took Mikey to the police station while his sons are at school.
"Hello, sir. How may we help you?" An officer asked.
"We came to look at two missing people report" Yoshi said.
"Have a seat and wait for an officer to help you" The officer said.
Yoshi and Mikey sat in the chairs and waited for 10 minutes until a police officer came to them.
"Hello, I'm officer Madelyn. Come with me please" She said and lead both, Yoshi and Mikey, to a room.
She sat down while Yoshi and Mikey sat on the other side of the table.
"Now. Who are you two looking for?" Madelyn ask.
"We are looking for this young boys parents" Yoshi said.
"Do you know the names?" The officer asked.
"That's the problem. I don't know their names. I just found out that I was accidentally switch when I was born" Mikey said.
The officer nodded and said
" Okay, we are going to have some DNA and have it put in the system to find your parents" Madelyn said.
"In the meantime, we have to put you in the foster system while we look for your parents" She added.
Mikey looks down and Yoshi speaks up
"I was wondering if he could stay with me in the time being" Yoshi said wondering.
"Well we need to see if he is safe to stay there and need you to sign some papers" Madelyn said.
Yoshi looks at Mikey and they both smile.
Everything will be okay.
