I had no idea what to say to Xatu. His words ringing in my ear.
Going back is most likely a very permanent path. Once you leave you can't come back.
I had to return home. But at the cost of giving up my riolu form and my new friends?
"Xatu...I'm ready to go. Just allow me to say my goodbye to Yuzuri. Without her I would've never survived to this point. I owe her my life you know?" I say hoping that I could delay the trip.
Xatu stares at me for the longest time. As if pondering whether I should or not. And finally he speaks, "If you don't leave now the chance may never happen again for another year. Do you really want to miss this chance?"
His words stung as he concluded what I had hoped against. I could at least leave something for her.
I pull my bag out and begin to check my inventory. An Apple, a Wonder Gummi, 2 Oran Berries, a Power Band and my personal trinket I had seem to forgotten about...my necklace forged to resemble that of a butterfly. I remember having to tell the smith that it looks like a butterfree but with different color patterns. And specified it to have a blue/purple pattern with a gold chain.
I take my butterfly trinket out and hand it to Xatu.
"Give this to Yuzuri and tell her to remember the moonlight." I say almost tearing up because of the memory from that night.
Xatu looks to me and nods. "I shall do as you wish. But time is short please step towards the gate." He points to the strange design built into the floor of the temple with a hole in it. The blood moon hovering in the sky beaming down through the round hole in the center of the ceiling.
The portal glows a deep red seemingly like a quick trip to the underworld. Thankfully not, since Groudon is the only thing that would bother living in such a dangerous environment.
I glance at Xatu and back to the portal. This is it. The end of my pokemon life and back to the real world. Where would I end up? I'd find out soon enough.
"Thanks for everything Xatu, and give Yuzuri that trinket you hear? Anyone else that wants to know where I am a I ask that you tell them I went on a trip to forge myself in solitude and training to strengthen my body and mind. Farewell Xatu...and goodbye pokemon." I say as I get a running start and leap into the glowing beam of light and disappear from sight.

I am once again back in my uncle's abandoned lab but now it seems to have been destroyed and rubble lies all around as if several explosions had occurred here and there. Even the walls were crumbling from the weight and the crumblike drywall riding in the air and making the scene dusty.
Maybe since my disappearance they left the area in fear of it happening to them. I begin to walk through the rubble, climbing fallen walls and such. Vines grew from the cracks in the floor and the plants that grew from these dark areas. I managed to find the lab but it looked no better than what was here already so I kept going through the masses until I steadily found my way out of this disaster.
It was incredible of what I saw. There was a city near and buildings as tall as you can see towering above. It was quite a distance but could even be seen from here. I glance at the surroundings only to do a double take.
There was a fence fortified by what seemed like barbed wires of electrical charge. Sparking at anything that dared touch. I'd have to find another way around since forward wasn't an option I'd want to take.
I walked alongside the fence to see if there were any doors or possible ways to leave the area only to find that there was none. The large car battery thing that was powering the fence was on the other side in the back covered by what seemed to be a fake rock. I couldn't see any lines trailing towards the fence so I sat down and pulled my bag out once more...
Wait...I couldn't have had this. The bag should've disappeared with the riolu transformation when I left the Pokémon world.
Opening my bag I found everything that had been in that world here. I clapped my hands in glee. I pulled out my Wonder Map hoping that it'd work here but it seems that the magnetic fields here are different than in the pokemons.
I sigh as I'd hoped it'd help me get home. Grabbing my rescue badge I throw it to the dangerous wires and watch as it sparked and exploded from contact. The badge was fine, just charred really badly. If I were to touch that I'd be dead.
I pull out my power band I put it on in hopes it would increase my power here as well. To no avail, it seems that my items have no effect here. I deposit all that I've withdrawn from my bag and look around to see that there is an old man maintenancing the surrounding area, prolly doing some community work. I rush to his direction and yell to him.
"Hey! Mister! Help! I can't get out of here!" I say loudly so I can get his attention. Hopefully he isn't deaf from old age.
He glances at me then proceeds to walk away. My heart dropped. My only chance to escape and he ignores me.
Deciding that it would be best to relax, I slowly sat down and lay across the grass to stare into the blue skies that I had once 'flown' across.
Back when we had to travel to the land in the sky to meet Rayquaza. Using a teleport gem made by Team Act's Leader Alakazam and by the clairvoyant Xatu. It was quite a sudden event that even I had trouble remembering how it happened when we were transported off into the clouds.
Traversing the fluffy humid terrain we climbed to the highest point of the tower. There we were met by a sight both awesome and terrifying. The star that would destroy the world.
Rayquaza, who hovered in front of us, was oblivious to the event and refused to acknowledge our claim. It went down to a battle for the first time with everything on the line. We had to defeat him or we'd all go down.
<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>
To Rayquaza's defeat, he finally obliged and looked up to the comet soaring close to our location.
Admittedly, he knew of the rock but didn't want to remove it, but upon seeing our triumph, he decided that he would destroy the danger to the mon's below. He charged his hyper beam and blasted the meteor, obliterating it to tiny fragments and showering the land below at a much safer approach compared to the original size. I remember that he requested that we not return again unless we planned to spar 1 on 1. And I agreed to do so from time to time. Although I hope I wouldn't have to, after all, that battle left me on my last leg and I was worn out.
Waving our goodbye to the legendary dragon, we used the teleport gem back to where Alakazam and Xatu were.
There I realized I was nearing my end. There was quite a few things I had to wrap up, like Gengar saving me and the newly made fissure that would be patched up sometime soon.
I thought of what I was to do after all that my team had gone through. And came to my realization that I should've had sooner.
I had unfinished business with him.
