I woke up in someone's arms.

Vic's arms to be exact.

I sighed in content and snuggled into his chest as he tightened his arms. "We have to get up eventually, y'know." He said. I nodded against his chest and shuffled closer.

"This is nice, though.", I mumbled and he made a weird humming sound in agreement.

"You know," Vic started,"this is the second time I wake up with you, and yet all I know about you is that your name is Kellin Quinn-Bostwick, but you hate Bostwick for some reason so, it's just Kellin Quinn."

"Is that really all?" I questioned.

"Well.. You're stubborn, you're persistent, and honestly just fucking weird, but in the best way." He winked at me and I giggled-manly as heck, I know-,"You're mom's not really there.. but she's great otherwise you'd hate her-correct me if I'm wrong."

"No, no, you're right. Go on."

"Um.. You're hot.. Beautiful, even, you like coffee but too much and you go off the rails.. You have a great taste in music, and you have a fantastic voice." He paused, "I think that's it."

"That sounds like a lot.." I traced patterns on his chest as I asked, "What else do you wanna know?"

"Favorite color?"

"Yellow."

"Yellow?"

"Mhm."

"Okay.. Favorite food?"

I shrugged and said, "Candy."

He rolled his eyes and pulled me closer. "Candy isn't food, Kells."

"Oh, I beg to dif-" Vic cut me off by pressing his lips against mine.

"What was that for?" I smiled.

"Well, you're in my bed, and you're cute when you're defending candy." He grinned and tapped my nose.

"YAY!" My smile widened and I pushed him on his back. I straddled him, leant down, and nipped at his collar bone. He shifted and turned his head to give me access to his neck. I trailed kisses up his neck to his cheek. He sighed contentedly, and wrapped his arms around me as I nestled against him. I closed my eyes, noting the way our breathing was in sync.

I didn't know it at the time, but at that moment, everything shifted. Suddenly, I wasn't a lonely kid, who's life wasn't going anywhere. Suddenly.. he was my company, and wherever he went, I'd follow.

"Kellin, I think... I think I-" Mike burst in the room before Vic could finish his sentence.

"Vic, we have a man down." He was gone so quickly after the utterance, that we were both left wondering if the words hanging in the air had ever been more than a mere idea.

Vic got up, pushing me off him, pulled his jeans on, and rushed to follow his brother.

I sat there on the bed, realizing this was another shift that I hoped wouldn't destroy anything. I got off it and followed the frantic voices. I peeked in the basement to see them all standing in the middle of the room. Vic stood in front of the rest with Mike standing next to him. I didn't want to listen to what they were saying, that wasn't my intention (actually, I didn't even mean to go in, I was just checking on Vic) so I put on my earphones in as my feet led me to him. There was no pause in the buzz off there words as I wrapped my arms around Vic's waist and buried my face in his back. Almost immediately, I felt the tension start to melt away from him as he griped one of my hands. Somehow we ended up on the couch with me curled up against him. He pulled out my earphones after a while. I looked up at him, but he only tightened his grip on my hand. I refused to look at the rest of the group as I buried my face in his neck.
