13 - dance

I pull away, shocked at what I just did. Luke leans in again, as I push him away. Even more tears fall down my cheeks. Ruel finds us and he looks confused. "Yo what the hell happened?" he asks looking at Zach on the ground. He sees my tears and pulls me into a hug. I hug him as tight as I can, sobbing on his shoulder. He rubs my back gently, reassuring me. I hear Luke scoff, as he walks away, leaving Ruel, Zach, and I alone. He pulls away and asked me what happened. I explained everything, leaving out Luke and I's kiss. He looked pissed. I could tell Ruel wanted to beat the shit out of Zach but I pulled him back. He clenches his jaw as he looks me in the eyes. It hurt so bad not telling him the truth and what happened with Luke and I. He deserves to know. He's done everything in his power to make me happy and this is how I repay him. I broke eye contact, about to break down once again. He notices as he pulls me into yet another hug.
"Listen Emma. Don't be afraid to tell me anything. I can handle it, whether it's good or bad, I can take it. If there's something you need to tell me, tell me. It's okay. I won't judge you, or your actions. Then again, I understand if you aren't ready to tell me. I know something happened tonight. I'm just hoping that you won't lie to me. Come on, let's go get something to drink."
I nod as we head towards the bar. I try to avoid Luke, but he's, of course, at the bar as well. Luke scoffs as he sees Ruel and I together. Ruel didn't seem to notice but it was pretty fucking obvious. We sit down at the bar, three seats away from Luke. Ruel orders some soda.
"Soda? Really?" I ask as he smirks back.
"What? I have to drive us home." he pouts playfully. We both laugh, causing Luke to look over at us.
"Yo Ruelio, why don't you let the real man buy her a drink?" Luke smirks.
Ruel clenches his jaw. I see him tense up. I grab his hand, causing him to relax.
"What do you want Emma? It's on me." Luke asks.
"Hey man knock it off." the bartender shouts at Luke. Luke grins as he gets up and leaves. Thank god.

I order beer. Big mistake. One beer turned to two and two turned to seven. Definitely not my best moment but Ruel didn't seem to mind. After Ruel cut me off, we headed to the dance floor. Finally. We danced to some upbeat songs first. It was amazing. The way he danced was so hot. I found it extra hot, considering I was drunk out of my mind. Now that I think about it, hot isn't exactly the right word. More like sexy.

Anyways, after what seemed like hours on the dance floor, a slow song finally began to play. I, being drunk of course, rest my hands on his shoulders. He smiles as he wraps his arms around my waist. We begin to sway, as we look into each other's eyes. We inch closer to one another. I notice Ruel's eyes lower to my lips. I blush at the memory of our previous kiss.
"Kiss me," I whisper.
Ruel waits a moment.
"I don't want people to think I'm taking advantage of-"
My lips crash against his before he can even finish his sentence. Ruel kisses back almost instantly. I suddenly understand why people describe kissing as melting. Every square inch of my body dissolves into his. My fingers grab his hair, pulling him even closer (if that's even possible). My veins throb and my heart explodes. I've never wanted anyone like this before. Ever.
I don't even care that we're in the middle of the dance floor, with what feels like the whole world watching. All I want is Ruel.
We make out for what feels like hours, but in reality it was just a few minutes. The song ends as we pull away from each other. We both catch our breath before exiting the dance floor.

a/n so i'm bACK. i haven't update since february but i'm going to continue writing this story because i left the last part on a cliffhanger & i have ideas for what's going to happen in the future so stay tuned 😎
also the next parts will be longer, i just wanted to get this part up as soon as possible which is why it's kinda short
