The last thing I remembered was laying on the damp ground surrounded by lanky trees. With a dark-haired boy holding onto him terrified, lost and freezing. I remember the cold, hard, rain that was slung down from the sky, soaking everything in its path like it was scanning the town for any impurities.
That was then, this is now.
my body was covered in a thick blanket when I woke up once again from a long slumber.
my body flung forward, swinging my blonde hair forward in front of my face. yanking the blanket off of myself I placed my shaking leg onto the cold metal floor only for my legs to give out making me hot the floor with a loud thud that echoed throughout the loft.
the man, the wolf, the beast. he rushed to my aid, picking me up with ease and placing me back into the bed that I was once in.
"you're going to be fine," he reassured. "you're safe," he said.
was I really though?
was he lying?
heck, I didn't even know him, he didn't know me.
why was he helping me?
His hand, his right hand came up to my face cupping the side of it, cleaning off the tear the fell down my cheek.
I was crying.
Pathetic.
the voice in my head said.
"who are you?... where am I? what are you wearing?... wheres my parents?" all sorts of questions escaped my mouth as I quivered.
"My name, its Derek. where are you, is in my loft. I could ask you the same thing. why are out in the woods at that time of night. you could've been hurt. Here take this and call your parents," Derek replied to me handing me an unknown object.
"call?" skeptically I questioned taking the object from his hands bringing it up to my face to get a better look. that however ended when it started to vibrate in my hands and a picture of a boy popped up.
I screamed and threw the object onto the floor.
luckly for Derek, it landed upwards.
the object was picked up by Derek, he held it up to see then put the object to his ear, stopping the horrid noise and vibrations that came off of it.
He talked to the object. I just sat there when he was staring at me talking to the object with wide eyes shaking from fear of what is happening.
The fear was not toward Derek, it was toward the object. For some reason, I felt like I could trust Derek, and that's what I did. I put every ounce of trust I had in me into him.
After a few minutes, he put it down and looked at me again.
"can you tell me your name so I can take you home?"
"My name is Thomasina Okimoto, please help me." I held onto his shirt scrunching it up.
"hey. hey, it's okay, you're going to be fine. ill get you home."
and with that, she passed out again. leaving him to put her limp body back into his bed until Deaton and the pack arrives.
