I sat on the floor of my room, looking around in awe at the trees and vines that literally grew overnight. The lush green grass beneath my fingers was soft to the touch and everything just smelled so alive.

This had to have been me. Pretty good for a 6 year old.

I could feel the life pulsing in everything around me and it felt so good. It lit my body on fire and I could feel it, my heart raced and raced at the feeling. I felt free, like I could fly.

The vibrancy and the scent, making me feel like I could do anything, was thrilling. I've never felt this before, and it's the last thing I felt before the room turned sideways, and I was gone.

My eyes fluttered open and I was blinded by a white light. What is this?

Someone came into my view, holding their hand out to me. I felt drawn to them, and I couldn't help but extend my hand out, reaching for them. So pretty…

Their mouth was moving but I couldn't understand them, it was as if I was hearing everything through water. It felt so urgent… why couldn't I understand? Why couldn't I hear?

‘I entrust…’ They told me before grabbing my hand with such a strength that it sent a shock through my body. They slowly started to disappear.

Wait! I didn't hear what you told me! I screamed with all might but nothing stopped them from fading away slowly…

My eyes flew open as I sat up quickly, unable to tell where I was. Almost immediately, my head began to pound.

“Woah there Arra, you can't just go doing that.” Slone said, before laying me back down.

“Where am I, Slowy?” I asked, looking into her pale gray eyes.

“You're in the infirmary, munchkin.” She said, patting my head.

“That's not smart. I can heal myself, remember?” I giggled and she frowned at me.

“...What are you talking about? You've never been able to do that.” She said. Now it was my turn to frown. “Don't frown, you'll get wrinkles.”

“Yes I have, why can't you remember?” I asked, completely ignoring her comment. Something about wrinkles.

“No you haven't, Bella. Maybe you should go back to sleep, you're not in your right mind.” She said patting my hand.

“What?” I asked, confused, before brushing it off completely. “Look, I'm fine. Leave me alone, you grandma.” I sneered before swinging my legs off the cot and standing up, a bit unbalanced.

“I'm only eleven!” She exclaimed as I walked out of the room, acting like these shoes were made for walking… even though I was barefoot.

That's not the point.

“Where are you going!?” She called, stepping out of the room.

“My bedroom!” I yelled before breaking into a sprint.

“Wait, Arra! You- by the gods you don't listen!” She screamed, frustrated, before running after me.

Almost there, almost there! I grinned widely as I turned the corridor towards my room and saw the door. Once I reached it, I flung the door open and screamed at the top of my lungs.

I was free falling at an incredible rate and I couldn't stop myself. Where's my room!?

I turned and saw that the ground was coming up fast and terror burst through my body.

I'm going to die!

I began to scream louder before I was cut off, letting out a loud oof as arms caught me and wrapped around my body tightly.

My saviour and I soared through the air before landing on the ground softly and safely. Gently, I was set on my feet and I immediately turned around to see Slone, beyond angry at me.

“You idiot! You could've died, had I not caught you in time!” She yelled and I looked down at the ground, ashamed.

“Where's my room?” I said, looking up at her through my lashes. She sighed.

“Last week I found you falling to your death, unconscious, where your room used to be. No one knows where you room went, we all just heard a loud explosion and it was just… gone.” She explained.

“What do you mean last week?” I whispered softly, paling. Her eyes softened.

“You were unconscious for six days, Arra.” She told me and I shook in disbelief. 6 days!?

I sat on the ground, covering my face in fear. Mother must be so angry.

“Hey, hey. You alright?” Slone asked me, pulling my hands away from my face.

“Mother is going to hit me!” I cried, sniffling as I wiped at the tears rolling down my face. Her face softened and she pulled me into her lap, rocking my softly.

“No she won't Arra, no she won't,” she softly stroked my hair as I buried my face in her chest. “I promise.”
