Creak - Squeak.... There it was again. Footsteps. I knew it wasn't my parents. They were asleep, I had just checked. I'm an only child, so it couldn't be a sibling. My heart was pounding incredibly fast. Suddenly, I saw a huge shadowy figure step through my door. I screamed.

The figure reached over and covered my mouth. Once I quieted down, he said "Don't you remember me?" I didn't trust myself to speak, so I remained silent.

"Oh, love, why don't you remember me? You spent a whole glorious week with me in hell." I still remained silent.

"One day" he mumured. "One day I will take you back with me. I will build you a palace near the throne of Satan. You will hear the cries of the tortured souls. Ah, music to my ears, eh?"

"GO AWAY!" I yelled. "Love, you must be patient." He said "All in due time. Don't resent me."I screamed. I'm not kidding. I screamed like I was being murdered. "WHAT THE HECK!!" I yelled "GO AWAY!!!" I broke down crying.

"RaeRae, RaeRae, please..." I woke up. My dad was shaking me awake. "Come on, you gotta get up. It's a brand new day! The school bus comes in 45 minutes." "Okay" I said. My dad left the room.

Just another nightmare. Crap, I hate nightmares. I wonder if I should tell my parents about them. I mean. Why am I having nightmares about demons, or whatever that thing in my room was? "RaeRae! You'd better be down here in 20 min or you'll miss breakfast!" My mom yelled. "Be right down!" I yelled back.

It doesn't take me to long to get ready in the morning. This morning, I put on a cute top I got yesterday while shopping at the mall with my friends. Paired that with some skinny jeans and pink converses. Then I put on some mascara, blush and lipgloss. I brushed my hair and teeth, then ran downstairs.

"There's a blueberry poptart in the toaster, but you'd better eat fast if you want to catch the bus." My mom said. I grabbed the poptart and ate it quickly.

The bus pulled up. "There's the bus! See ya mom!" "Have a nice day at school! Bye!" I stepped into the bus and looked for my friends. "Yo RaeRae! Over here!" I turned to see my all time BFF Abbie.

We were both in the cheerleading squad, along with my other friends Annah, Sarah, Makenzie, and Heather. I sat down next to Abbie. "Hey! So how ya feeling about the new cheer routine?" Abbie didn't respond. "Abbie?" I said.

I turned to look at her. Problem was, she wasn't there. In her place was a guy I had never seen before. He opened his mouth to speak, and I saw his fangs and his forked tounge. Wait, what!?!? Fangs!? Forked tounge!?

"Come with me, Love." He whispered as he traced his finger down my face. I cringed. His words weren't a suggestion. They weren't a request. They were a command. I squeezed my eyes tightly shut, and turned away. When I looked back, Abbie was sitting there.

"Are you okay?" She said. "No offense but you don't look to good."

"No I'm fine. I just need some sleep. I'm incredibly tired. I didn't get much sleep last night. Scratch that. I didn't get any sleep last night."

"Hey, you're probably just really stressed. I mean we've got that football game this week, that Bio test, that Geometry test...."

I laughed. "Hey, that's not helping ok? You're right, my stress level is over the moon high. You're not helping."

Abbie laughed. "Sorry."

I turned away and rubbed my forehead. I need more sleep. God, I hate nightmares. I'm gonna turn into a sleep deprived robot. And now I'm hallucinating. That's pretty bad. I just hope it doesn't happen during that cheer routine.
