Maya. Also known as the abomination of the Styne family. The one who chickened out. She knew of her family's evil doings and decided to leave. She didn't have the heart to torture innocent people.
Maya's life had been one shitty roller coaster ever since.
At the age of eight all Maya wanted was a bike with no training wheel to show off to the older kids down the street. It all backfired when she accidentally crashed into her father's car, not only earning nasty cuts and bruises from the fall, but a whooping from her uncle as well.
When she was eleven, all she wanted was to ride the coolest ride at the fair. It was an amazing experience, except for the part where she puked her guts out in front of dozens of people, including her crush.
Getting her first kiss was all she wanted when she was thirteen. Andy Arrington was her crush of three years, and the day she decided to act out on her feelings is the day she found out he had a girlfriend.
When she was fifteen she was introduced to her family's evil business. It started with family secrets and luring in the men her family would then experiment on and later turned into forced torture. She hated her family for what they made her do.
Two days before her sixteenth birthday, Maya packed her bags and left. She changed her name, her appearance and everything else she possibly could.
She got a job as a bartender in a small bar owned by Hellen James. The woman took a liking in the drifting girl, taking her under her wing. She gave her a small apartment to live in and the motherly love she never got growing up. The attention starved girl grew close with Hellen, telling her about her past and her corrupt family.
With Hellen, she finally got the apple pie life she always wanted.
And at the age of thirty-four, the book of the damned shows up at her front porch, earning not only the Winchesters' attention, but the Stynes' as well.
extras. - Maya's about 34 you can give or take a few years but she has to be 30-38 years old (in s10) - if you decide to not give Maya a love interest than the rule above does not apply and you can make her a teen or a young adult if you wish - Dean hates the Stynes so he's gonna want her dead (at first) - Maya and Charlie are super close, they're practically family So when Charlie gets away from Cas, she doesn't go to the hotel like she did in the show, she comes to Maya - Charlie doesn't know that Maya's a Styne - Charlie never told Maya about her hunting life so neither of them know that the other is involved with the supernatural nor the Stynes - maya and the rest of the stynes didn't actually meet. they saw the stuff in the apartment and figured out it belonged to her - Jacob tried to get Maya back but Eldon along with several others did not want her to return - Charlie told Maya to hide the book and protect it with her life, pushing her out of her apartment window before the Stynes got in bUt Maya being Maya stayed back and hid and saw the whole thing go down if she didn't hate her family then than she sure did now - Before Charlie died, she wrote the name Dean Winchester on the inside of the book cover - Maya tracks him down and offers her help - charlie taught her some hacking stuff, so thats how she found dean - she sees how much he hates her family so she won't admit to being a Styne when they first meet - Jacob (or any other Styne family member) tells the Winchesters that she's related to them which gets Dean really pissed off to the point where he nearly kills her, Sam and Cas have to hold him back
