The Request

Lisa's POV

"So how long are you going to work on this project?" My chipmunk asked. Well, she's my ultimate church girl best friend. Her name is Park ChaeYoung or Rosé depending on who's calling her.

"I don't know, I'm thinking of finishing it soon. The last person I'm choosing will be the final one for the report, and then I'll start doing my analysis." I reassured to her because I knew what her motive was.

"So you mean you'll soon be free from these meetings and going outs, and we could finally have our bestie time again soon?" Yes, that's her motive of course.

"I thought you'd never be tired of eating all the food alone." I couldn't understand how her tiny body could squeeze in all the food she'd been eating everyday.

"Hehe, I'm fine eating alone actually but I can't do that forever. I need you to be there, to sit with me and watch me eat!" She spoke in a very cute voice.

"I'm not a chipmunk watcher Chae!" I said earning a stare from her. "But I promise I'd buy you a lot of food and take you to buffet if my result turned out well." I continued.

"Awwwww, I'll go to church and pray for you then." She said it with her straight face, but I really wanted to laugh right now.

I'd been scrolling the thousands of request for three days now, none of them caught my eyes. Well, let's just say most of them are similar to my previous huntings. BORING!!

"Urghhhh.." I sighed a long breath out.

"Hey, how's the experiment hunting going darling?" Rosé said out of nowhere. How could she move without making sound?

"One day my future husband or wife will kill you for calling me darling. And I'll stand there and watch you be killed haha. I might even snap a video of it and show it to my grandchildren." I liked to tease her.

"I'd rather be killed as long as I can call you darling." She said with a wink.

"Oh my god my chubby cheek chipmunk, you're in love with me that badly?" I squealed. I forgot to tell you that she was also so damn good at teasing me and making me cringe.

"Anyway, judging from the look on your face, I can tell you're a damn failure." She's so honest as well. :(

"What if I can't find the one Chaeng-ah?" I said with a pout.

"Yah, Lalisa! You just spent three days, why are you acting like a damn loser? The Lisa I know, the best friend Lisa that I befriended with, don't look like this." She yelled at me, waking me up from my pessimistic thought.

"I'll fight for it Chae! Thank you." I proceeded to hug her in which she returned the favor.

It was 11pm when I spot a certain person's profile. Let's say I would never expect such a beauty to hire a dork like me. Paying money to be my girlfriend? I'd rather do it for free.

"Chipmunk! Chipmunk! My baby Chaeng! I got it, I got it, I got it!" I ran downstairs to find Chaeng in the kitchen munching her food.

"What? Did you win a million dollars lottery?" She asked with her eyes wide open.

"No, but I won something bigger!" I screamed out of excitement.

"What is it? A trip to the moon?" Is she that dense?

"Yah =.=!" I literally was eyeing her.

"Alright, tell me then." She said in a calmer voice.

"Look! She just requested. Can you see her? She's so different! I wonder what she's like when we actually meet. What if the profile is fake?" I shot off so many questions I know.

"Stop being pessimistic, will you? You're on the top listed, most wanted person for a girlfriend rental. Let me add: for both men and women. I wouldn't be surprised if someone as beautiful as you would like to make a pact or be your lover." My chipmunk knew full well how to motivate me.

"Thank you Chaeng-ah, I don't know what I could do without you." I kissed her cheeks.

"Just accept the request already. Your future wife is waiting. Careful she'd choose other dudes before you." She said with a wink.

I went upstairs thinking whether I should accept it. I mean I know she would only hire me once, but why would I want it to be real this time?

'Yah, Lisa, snap it out. You're working on the project, keep your mind in the game!'

I kept staring at the profile for roughly 20 Minutes before I clicked:

[YOU HAVE ACCEPTED THE REQUEST. WE WILL LEAD YOU TO YOUR GIRLFRIEND SOON.]

Only one thought stuck on my mind now: I'm looking forward to meeting her.
