Chapter 25

Finally we pulled up. We got out of the van when I saw the door was open. Not all the way but it was opened.

"Guys the door is opened." I shivered.

"Oh my god." Christina stood behind Corbyn.

"What is this, Scream six?" Corbyn asked.

"This is not a horror movie." Jonah rolled his eyes.

No one moved.

"Oh my lord, I'll go in." I sighed as I started walking to the door.

"Wait! I will go, stay here." Daniel stopped me.

"No! But we will do it together." I nodded.

"Fine." He agrees. He goes into the kitchen and I go into the living room. I see something move in the dark hallway. God this is a horror movie.

I turn on my flashlight, and slowly made my way to the hallway. I turned the corner and that's when everything went downhill.

Everything happened in a flash. I see my mom and I feel pain in my stomach. I look down and see blood coming out. I scream and ran outside.
I tried reaching for my phone, but when I did. Daniel saw me.

"Oh my god!" He yelled.

He grabbed a towel put it to my stomach as we walked outside.

"OMG what happened." Christina Shrieked.

"It was my mother." I whispered.

"That's it." Jonah yelled.

He ran in side.

"He can't go in there." I screamed.

"I'll get him." Jack sighed.

"Haleigh. Calm down." Daniel whispered.

"Not until Jonah and jack are safe." I snuggled my head in to Daniel.

Finally I heard police and ambulances. When they pulled up in the street, and walked over to us.

I screamed, "My brother and my friend are in there." I pointed to the house.

Police ran in there and ambulance workers put in their truck. Daniel and Zach came with me.

"I will meet you guys there. Make sure she is safe or else." Christina threatens as tears fall down her cheeks.

Jonah's Pov

When I saw my younger sister walk out with her stomach bleed. All I saw was red. I see Daniel right next to her and I realized they should not be together.

Still Jonah's pov

At the hospital

I see Daniel and everyone else sitting in the waiting room.

"She is in surgery." Daniel sighed.

I walk up to him and slap him.

"You were supposed to protect her. And you failed. And if she dies I swear I will kill you. And since you failed you guys have to break up. Or else I quit the band and date Anna and do things to her." I smirked knowing he will do anything to protect Anna.

"You are sick." He spat at me.

"Are you single?" I asked.

"Y-Yes." He started tearing up.

I was never going through with what I said. It was a test to see if he would put my sister before anyone. And he failed again. I go to tell Daniel it was a test when I saw the doctor walking to us.

"I have good news and bad news." She stated.

"Good first please." I sighed.

"She is fine and awake." She softly smiled at them.

"And the bad?" Daniel trembled like he knew what she was going to say.

"Who is the father of the twins?" She asked us.

"Me..." Daniel started tearing up.

"I'm sorry, she lost the twins." She walked away.

"No...." daniel sobbed as he slide down against the wall.

"I'm going to see her." Daniel said suddenly.

He came back five minutes later.

"It's done." He whispered and walked out.

"I'm going to see my sister." I told them.

When I walked in there, I saw her sobbing.

"He left me. Said that I was only with you because you were having my kids." She told me.

"Haleigh, I gave him a test and he fail. We walked out before I could say it was a test." I softly smiled at her.

I would of not given him that test if I would of known the twins died, and she would react like this.

"So, there is still a chance? I can get back together with him?" She asked.

"Yes." I said.

"Yay!" She laughed.

"You leave in two days." I inform her.

"Okay... I feel like I knew the twins forever." She started tearing up again.

Two days later

Haleigh's pov

I walk into the house and see my stuff packed in the living room. Wow. I take my stuff, and go to reach my phone for a Uber so I can go to a hotel.

"Hey best friend." I hear behind me.

"Hey Zachary!" I laugh and turn around to hug him.

"Uh what about me?" Christina asked.

"Come here." I hugged her.

"Oh my god, it's Haleigh, get over it." Daniel rolled his eyes.

"What's your problem?" I asked him.

"You!" He spat at me.

Ouch!

"Why are you acting like this?" I asked him.

"Because you are related to a monster." He said referring to Jonah.

"It was a test. And YOU failed." I yelled.

"Your telling me that you would choose me over Jonah?" He asked me.

"Yes!" I screamed.

"What about Maddie?" He asked.

"Yes because I love you, I would anything for you. Plus Jonah said we can be together and he won't get mad." I grabbed his arm.

"I don't love you, and you are a horrible person, your mother was right about you." He pushed my hand away.

"Oh, and if you want to do anything for me, get out of my face and never show up again." He yelled.

I grab the luggage and storm out of there. I walk around the neighborhood and call a Uber.
I'm going to a hotel so I can figure out where to buy an apartment. Nowhere near here. I was thinking maybe, Ohio. Yupp Ohio sounds great.

It's far from La, which is good. When I get into the Uber, I book a flight for Ohio tomorrow night.
