As Thia trudged through the cold snow, she had time to reflect. "How did we get here?" she asked herself, avoiding any and all monsters that might have come across her path. "Well, I fell in a hole and now I'm here. Terrific. I'm probably dead and in hell," she sneered, shivering again. She suddenly bumped into something, again, and groaned. "What now?"

It was a huge guard dog, literally. A big white dog in metal armor. She gasped and backed away as he raised a huge axe over his head. "Wait!" she shouted, holding out her hands. The dog stopped before crouching down to her level. She didn't know what to do and just started petting the dog, which seemed to do the trick. "Oh.. Cool.." she muttered, seeming happy with this outcome. No longer did the dog want to fight, and let her pass.

The next few encounters were like this. Petting dogs until they became less aggressive and they let her pass. Eventually, Thia came across what appeared to be a puzzle. She had seen these in the ruins but this one looked different. It had instructions.

'HUMAN! Or monster, whoever finds this puzzle first. Prepare to be stumped and bamboozled! For you see, this is a puzzle in which you must solve to pass!'

At about that point Thia stopped reading and looked at the puzzle. It wasn't connected to anything. "Eh. I'll go around," she said while walking around it and towards another larger sign in the distance. "Welcome to Snowdin Town" it read. "Finally," Thia said in relief as she approached the town that was now in view. It was small but looked.. Peaceful. Very welcoming..

The first building was a small shop, so Thia approached and hesitantly went inside. It was nice and warm inside. She looked around and spotted a woman behind the counter. "Hello," Thia greeted while stomping snow off of her shoes. The woman didn't look right though. She was a rabbit, wearing a hat and a tank top. "Hello! Welcome to my lil' ol' shop!" she said while Thia approached the counter.

"Oh, you look terrible!" the woman said as she took a closer look at Thia. "Here, one of these cinnabunnies should help!" She reached into the cabinet underneath her counter and pulled out a cinnamon roll in the shape of a bunny. "Here, take it, on the house!" Thia stood there for a moment then hesitantly took the treat. "Uh.. Alright.." She didn't want to say no, for two reasons. One, it would be rude, and two.. She was really hungry-

They talked for a few minutes and Thia bought a few more snacks with the gold pieces she had found throughout the ruins. "Come back soon, hon!" the rabbit said after hugging her. Thia felt a little better after eating and waved bye to the woman as she left the store. The woman had said that next door was an inn, so that was her next destination.

Thia walked inside of the inn and greeted the person at the desk. She paid for a room, had a short conversation with the innkeeper, then went upstairs and examined her room.

"How could you call this a hotel? I didn't even get a mint on my pillow or anything," she muttered before locking the door and settling in for the night. Despite not have a day and night cycle down here, she still knew when night and day were.

The night went by peacefully. Thia slept pretty well despite the circumstances. It was nice and warm and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Turns out all she needed was a little rest to heal her wounds. Or maybe that cinnabunny had something to do with it.

Once morning rolled around Thia got up and ready for the day, eating one of the snacks she had bought from the rabbit lady before she headed out. She wasn't in too much of a rush to get out of here now. Despite it being full of monsters, these ones seemed different. More friendly and welcoming.

Thia walked out of the inn, buttoning up her jacket as she did. "Alright.. I'm here.. Let's just explore," she said to herself while looking around. A few more shops, some houses, a library.. Actually it's spelled 'Librarby'. "Heh.. That's kinda funny," she muttered to herself, before spotting a diner. "Muffet's Cafe" the sign read, with a spider web design on the letters.
