Valerie, or as the public knew her as 'Void' was born on October 1st, 1989 along with other 42 kids. It wasn't rare, millions of kids are born everyday, the actual problem was that Valerie's mother was never pregnant in the first place. Neither were the other 42 women that gave birth that day.
Valerie only knew that days after she was born, Valerie's dad, Sir Reginald Hargreeves adopted her and 6 other kids. Valerie came to know them as: Luther 'Number One', Diego 'Number Two', Allison 'Number Three', Klaus 'Number Four', Number Five, Ben 'Number Six', and Vanya 'Number Seven'.
She grew up with them and saw them as family, they fought side by side through crime and fought with each other at home. Valerie thought they'd become the best superheroes together and save the world.
From her high hopes and big heart, the others saw Valerie as the one who brought everyone together, even at their worst. Though, growing up in the Umbrella Academy wasn't easy and soon enough things began to fall apart.
Who knew years later, they'd all come back together. It isn't as heart-warming as a normal family reunion should be, but they were never normal to begin with.
