Chapter Five.

"What are you doing?!"

I shoved away from Liam and both of us scrambled to our feet. The peircing blue eyes that were meeting mine were full of confusion and anger and something very faint- though I failed to miss it- hurt.

"What... were you doing...?" Louis asked again. He was staring past us to the back wall and clenching his teeth, obviously trying not to explode. I've seen Louis get mad before and I know him well enough enough to tell when he's trying to keep his temper.

"Never mind. It's obvious. But why?" He stared at me, and I looked at the floor, at a loss for words. Liam stepped in front of me.

"Why do you think?" He asked softly. I glanced up at Louis and his face was soft, but his eyes were clouded with confusion.

"I... have to go..." I mumbled. I pushed past both of them and ran out.

"Harry!"

I didn't take note of who called me, and I certainly didn't look back. I ran until I was out of the whole place and down the sidewalk.

I finally stopped running when I reached an ally.

I looked behind me, then down the dark space between two buildings with a shiver. I had to go through there to get home quicker and avoid being mobbed.

I shook off the sinking feeling of dread as I slowly set foot inside.

"Well what's this?" A gravely voice growled. I looked up into a pair of glowing orange eyes and felt my heart skip a beat.

"Who are you?" The guy asked again.

"H-Harry," I gulped, takin a step back.

"Is this your ally? I- I can always go down a different one!" I turned to run but tripped over my own clumsy feet and fell on my face with a grunt.

The creepy guy laughed loudly.

I blinked to keep tears from falling as I reached up to touch the stinging mark on my cheek.

"On your feet, you useless bag of rubbish!" The angry man snapped and I scrambled to get to get up, pushing away the hurt from the stinging names he'd just called me.

Useless?

Rubbish?

What did I do to deserve this?!

The scary guy eyed me with a sinister smile and I shivered.

"Wh- what are you going to do?" I asked, finally finding my voice. He didn't answer, only reached into one of the side pockets from his belt and pulled out something that looked like a water gun.

I leaned away slightly and he jabbed it into my ribs. The device made a clicking noise and pain erupted from my right side and shot all the way through my body.

"Ah-" I doubled over, gripping my side as tears sprang to my eyes. I looked down and noticed a small dart-looking thing digging through my shirt into my skin, and the last thing I saw was a few red lines staining my shirt.

Then the insides of my eyelids.

Louis' POV

I paced in front of the tour bus with a hand on my forehead. We had been everywhere looking for Harry, but couldn't find him.

"Why would he just run off?! He doesn't know how to get around this place, none of us do!" I exclaimed, tugging on my hair.

Part of me wanted to strangle Harry for being so stupid, but the other half wanted hug the life out of that curly boy.

"Louis, he's grown up, he can take care of himself!" Zayn persuaded. I stared at him in disbelief.

"Zayn, he's only nineteen!" I sat on the fold out steps of the tour bus and cupped my face in my hands.

"Louis, we'll find him. I promise." Liam rested a reassuring hand on my shoulder and I looked up at him. He opened his mouth and a high pitched, girly, and kind of annoying, sound screeched my name.

"Louis, Louis come quick! I found something!"

I stood up and jogged around to the other side of the bus where Eleanor was running towards me.

I hope it's something to actually worry about.

I don't know why I brought her with us on tour, she gets spooked by every little bug.

"Louis, look.." She gasped, holding up something that looked like a rag. I took it from her and unfolded it.

"Eleanor... Where did you find this...?" I asked shakily. It looked identical to the American flag themed headband that Harry was wearing earlier.

"A few blocks down from where we ate."

I stared at her.

"Show me."

[A/N] sorry I haven't updated in a week, but hey.. I did now, right? C: sorry for the short chapter, I've kind of lost my muse.. I'll get it back soon, I just have so many ideas for this story. They just can't happen YET or it'll ruin it, that's the problem... Thanks for so many reads already! Love you guys! :D
