Loving from the red side of the moon
The next week at school was mundane. The girls saw one another as often as they could; just as Katya had promised, she drove Trixie and Jodi to school each day and drove them back to Jodi's house. They would hang out, cuddle, watch movies, do homework. The two of them were classic high-school lovers.
Then Friday rolled around, and the three girls were sat together at lunch, along with Danny, Mitch, and Ellie.
"Hey, so my friend Ginger is throwing a massive party tonight. Anyone wanna go?" Ellie asked.
Danny and Mitch immediately agreed, and the three girls were left to decide on their on. They told the others they would see, and then the school day slowly rolled to a stop.
"What do you think about this party, Kat? Wanna go?" Trixie asked on the car-ride home. Jodi was sat in the back sat and the two girls were in front, Katya's hand resting gently on Trixie's thigh.
Katya shrugged. "I mean, yeah, it's been a while. But I don't want you to be uncomfortable or anything," she said.
"I have some schoolwork to do, so I don't think I should go.." Trixie mumbled. "It's not that I don't want to, it's just-"
"Trixie," Jodi interrupted. "It's a four day weekend. Let's go! It'll be fun, everyone will be there. You can make new friends!"
Jodi was so cheerful and optimistic, and it had stated to rub off on Trixie from their constant state of togetherness. "I'm not sure," she said. "Maybe Jodi and I can go late."
Katya grinned. "Whatever you say, Princess."
As Katya stopped her car in front of Jodi's house, she planted a kiss on Trixie's pink lips. "I'll see you guys tonight," she said. She turned to lock eyes with Trixie. "Text me when you leave and whenever you need anything, as always."
Trixie smiled widely at Katya, who still made her entire body feel as though it were resting on a cloud. She went alongside Jodi into her house and hung out in the kitchen.
"Hey, Mom," Jodi called, "is it okay if Trix and I go to a party tonight? I'll text you details."
"Sure, be safe," her mom responded. Trixie was shocked. Her mother would never let her go somewhere like a high school party. No chaperones, rampant drunkenness and drugs- it was an absolutely impossible place for Trixie to be with her mother knowing. And with a slight pain in her heart, she, just for a moment, was happy her mother wasn't there.
Katya got to the party at about eight and drank a bit more than she had planned. Her and Ellie were having a playful contest to see who could get drunk more quickly, which they often did when they found themselves in a party environment. She was wearing a silver sparkly dress, which made her feel sexy. She loved it.
Just as she got a bit too tipsy and took a bit of someone else's blunt, her phone buzzed in her pocket.
"Hey, princess," she slurred into the phone.
