You took a deep breath and ran even faster, trying to get far away from the sound of the police cars.

Your heart thumped against your chest and you felt like just stopping to take a break.

But you couldn't.

You had to keep going, to run faster than you did minutes before.

You had run away from home, you had no real motive other than wanting to get away from your life for a moment.

But since you started, it's become a game.

A game of hide and seek, a game of who's faster.  A game of questions that only time can answer.

It's become a game that you have to escape from.

You coughed as you ran, jumping over the large root of an old tree.

You prayed that as you ran you wouldn't run into any spider webs, praying not to step on something that could kill you.

Not that you wouldn't mind that at this point.

The sounds of the police sirens became much more dull and quiet.

You were losing them.

You took your time now, running instead of sprinting.

You'd stop every once and while, listening to the sounds around you, trying to catch your breath and pin point where the police were.

When it sounded like they were getting closer you ran again, making sure to scan your area as you did.

You were gonna need a way to get back to your original location.

As you ran, you failed to see the huge branch in your way, only noticing it once you tripped over it.

"SON OF A BITCH!" you gritted your teeth and sighed.

You sat up and felt your ankle, nothing felt broken or sprained, most just a tiny pain that disappeared just as fast as it had manifest.

You grunted, standing up and shaking your leg, jumping around on your ankle to make sure nothing was really hurt.

When you jumped you didn't scream and deemed yourself okay to go back to running.

After a running a few feet in front of you you decided to make a bit of a bold move. You took off towards the left, running and trying to avoid slamming into trees.

Was a bit tricky but it actually was making it  bit easier.

You looked above you, seeing the sky slowly get darker.

By now the days search should have been called off. Most of the time they called them off once the sky started to darken, for the safety of the searchers and for the rest of the searchers.

You kept running to the left, taking random leaps and praying to find some place of shelter.

You slowed down and decided to walked now, stopping when you heard a single noise.

You made your way forward again, looking forward and back at your feet.

As you looked in front of you you swore you saw light.

Not like sun light or light from a flash light, but light from a house.

You stopped, wondering if during the time you had been on the run had made you crazy.

You stared in front of yourself, your eyes made out lights and a car as well.

You panicked a little.
