Chapter 6

AUTHORS NOTE:
Wow. I haven't been on since September.. I meant to post this chapter then, but I guess I didn't.. anyways, I touched it up and tried to make it better. I'm going to try to be more active now.. Here we go,

"Well, there's lots of reasons why someone like you wouldn't like me.."

"Wait, someone like me?" He asks squeezing my hand a little bit.

"You know. Someone popular, brave, smart, selfless, honest, and... and attractive," I say, looking down when the word "attractive" leaves my mouth.

He puts his hand under my chin, making my head go up, and my eyes meet his. He is very close to my face.

"I'm may be all those things, but so are you. Especially attractive," he says looking into my eyes. I feel myself blush.

All of a sudden the small gap between our faces is closed. His lips hit mine. Fireworks go off in my brain. We kiss for a moment until he pulls back.

"Uhh, sorry. I should go.." he says closing his book and putting it into his bag.

I watch him leave without saying a word. As soon as I hear the front door close, I scream into my pillow.

He kissed me then left. Maybe he didn't feel what I felt when we kissed. How could I let him leave? It didn't feel that way when I had my first kiss with any other boyfriends. Why? I thought I loved them, I guess not. Wait, do I love him? I can't. We just met today and I don't believe in love at first sight. Do I?

A million thoughts come rushing into my head. I eventually go downstairs and make myself some chicken alfredo. Caleb is in DC for the week. I watch my favorite movie, "What If" It's based on my favorite book. It's about a girl who falls in love with a boy who's very closed off. When she talks to him, he sits there very uncomfortably. Until one day she goes to a party in a different town with her cousin and he sings. He has an amazing voice and has the best songs. She realizes that's what he does all day in school. Then a couple weeks later she goes to a coffee house at like 3am and he is there reading poetry on stage. That's when she falls in love. He sees her and talks to her and then he realizes he loves her and yada yada, it's the best movie/book ever!

~~~ TIME LAPSE~~~~~~~~~~~~

I wake up on the couch. I fell asleep watching the movie. I get up and check my phone. I have a text from Four. I get nervous and open it. It's a picture of a piece of paper that reads-

"Tris,

I'm sorry I left last night. I liked the kiss but got really nervous when you didn't say anything so I left. I've never done anything like that in my life. If you don't like me, I get it. Just please don't let this ruin our friendship. Even if you don't like me, just know, I'll always like you. Everyday we talk I'll try to restrain myself from kissing you. If I fail a couple of times, it probably wasn't an accident..

-Four"

I immediately text back-

"I liked it too."

I go upstairs to get dressed. I throw on a black tank top, black skinny jeans, and black Converse. I put on red lipstick, some eyeshadow, and winged, thick eyeliner.

I go to my kitchen and grab an apple and eat it while walking outside. I start walking to school.

After a few minutes of walking, a car pulls up behind me. The door opens and I see a pair of big blue eyes staring at me.

"Need a ride?"

"Um.. sure," I say with a small smile. I wonder if he saw the text yet. I get in the car and set my bag in the floor at my feet.
