"Lyra! Get out of bed today is visiting day and adoption day!" Miss. Grey yells through my door as I roll out of bed I look at my clock and see that I have 30 minutes to get ready. So I stand up stumble to the bathroom and put on a black T-shirt, jeans, black boots, and I put my hair into a braid that raps around my head and falls over my shoulder. "Lyra hurry up we are all waiting for you!" Miss. Grey yells again " What's the point people don't want an 15 year old girl. Plus my dads not even going to be here." I yell back and I hear Miss. Grey sigh just before I leave I grab my headphones and phone connect them with my phone and play Letting You Go by Joey Graceffa. This song means a lot to me because both of my parents are alcoholics so listening to this song I can relate. Opening the door Miss. Grey has me follow her to the adoption center and wait and to spend time with all the other kids even thought they all hate me. I go to my usual corner and open my phone and go to YouTube and search to see if Joey had uploaded a new video, happy to see he did I start to watch until Ashely the most beautiful and "important" orphan here comes over take my phone looks at what I'm watching then closes my phone and grabs me up and says "What happens if anyone tries to adopt you while I'm here?" rolling my eyes I say "No please don't take me take Ashely. The blonde girl over there." "Good because nobody wants a thin, short, and Joey Graceffa obsessed girl in their life." She says and I push her off me not wanting her to get the better of me shocked she grabs my shirt raises her fist and just as she's about to swing I here Miss. Grey say "Lyra come here somebody wants to adopt you." I look up to see who she's talking about . Gasping I just stand still and Ashley looks at me with a look that says well are you going to say no? "Ok I'm coming." I wiggle my way out of Ashely's grip grab my phone and walk over to meet the person who would change my life.
