Hermione woke up in her bed with no memory of what had happened. It was the same for Bellatrix. Dumbledore was the one who sent the stunning spells. You see not all of their memory was gone but only the part where they were dueling and the events following. So basically both Hermione and Bellatrix had forgotten that they were even related. Hermione had packed up her trunk and got on the train before it left for Kings Cross station. When she got there she ran back through the wall and met the Grangers before they left for home. Her summer was pretty uneventful and so was Bellatrix's. Before Hermione knew it she got a letter for the book requirements for school. She went to Diagon Alley with the Weasleys and Harry Potter.
"So," Hermione said. "According to my letter we need The Standard Book of Spells Grade 6, Advanced Potion-Making, Confronting the Faceless, A Guide to Advanced Transfiguration, Advanced Rune Translation, and Flesh-Eating Trees of the World," Hermione read off as they entered Flourish and Blotts. Not long after that, the school year started.
"That's her the know it all," Ron whispered to Harry after Hermione left to collect their books.
