"So that's all that happened." I sighed emitting chunks of depressing aura around me.
''We're informing the police,'' she concluded. She looked more pale and shocked than I was.
''No no no no no no never! I won't allow that! Ever! Never! No! My mom will rush back here. I don't want her to worry." I exclaimed making it final and clear.
"Why? This thing has gone out of hand!,'' she said holding my arm tight shaking me. " Sasha, You understand right? Look at you! Running all the way to a mall like this."
"Bell, its exactly because of that why you can't inform the police. Mom will rush back here if she hears of this. I'll be putting her life in danger too. I want her to stay away from here, there's no way I can let her come here now,'' I said frantically hoping she would understand the inclemency of the situation.
"You really do think a lot about your mom. I understand. There's no use thinking I can win with you on this. You are staying with me. End of discussion. Let's go.''
''Yeah, can't say no to that.'' I shivered light.
*********
We both stood in front of my house, that still had its door ajar. Thankfully the door was covered from the public view due to the overgrowth of the trees surrounding it. I felt chills crawl up my spine.
I am not a harebrained person to go inside the house again. I looked at the house with a serene expression assuming that it had already become a hideout of killers and murderers, and to think I had been sleeping so peacefully there some hours ago.
"So" she started "It doesn't look so bad. But we don't want to play the brave&stupid party and go in to see if everything is okay right?''
" Loitering anywhere near the house is just as bad. Let's go" I said clutching her hand tight.
"Let's wait for the police to come."
She had called the police to thoroughly check the insides of the house. I should have gone in to see if anything was missing but you see people who receive roses are a different story. "Going in" has hardly any difference from "Going into the grave" so no thanks.
After a span of fifteen minutes, the group of police who had come to investigate emerged out of the house unharmed. I was relieved. I was contemplating which way I would run should they come out as bloodied corpses.
Brave, brave, really brave. I mentally saluted them.
The main officer came up to us scowling in his grouchy appearance.
"Everything is intact, I can assure you. Nothing suspicious,'' he enounced robotically and went along his way grumpy at the fact that we had wasted their oh-so precious time.
He ordered his comrades and left the place as fast as they came.
I looked at the locked house with a stoic expression and thought hard. Everything seems off about this.
"Don't worry. Everything is fine Sash! I am starting to think someone played a prank on you'' she chortled.
" No" I continued "It isn't a prank Bell. Believe me, it isn't."
