A Dragon Queens Dream

Prologue

My legs are starting to ache and my feet are covered in cuts but the adrenaline is keeping me going. My hair whips my face as I am running as fast as my legs are willing to go. I feel the cold nipping at my heels and I know that the source of such coldness is catching up to me. 

Still pushing through, I'm weaving around trees, jumping over logs, but the feeling of being overtaken is clouding my senses. As I begin a losing battle to fight whats overtaking me, I trip on tree root and fly forward.

Barely catching myself in time, I try to stand up but my legs finally give out. As the coldness surrounds me I close my eyes ready for what's to come when a burst of heat comes from behind me. 

As the warmth grows stronger, my body begins to become warm again and I open my eyes to look at a dark misty cloud going farther away from me. I turn around to see who my savior is and I'm startled by the most electric blue eyes and my body starts to tingle from the gaze. 

The eyes are so hypnotic and I found myself being so drawn to them. I struggle to get up and go to the figure but realized that I couldn't move. I start crying and willing my body to move but nothing happened. 

As tears start to stream down my face I feel a warm, rough hand caress the fallen tears off of my face. I am picked up off of the forest floor and started to into cuddle this incredibly warm figure. A blue light begins to emit from my body and a rush of fire courses through my veins. I look up into the eyes of my savior and a flash of blue and gold runs across our vision and it feels like I recognize him before. Then I realize - the figure is a him. 

And then I woke up.
