It was less than a week before Camila's break was over, and she hadn't gotten any reply's from Lauren.

Lucy was taken into questioning, and her story lined up with what was said over the phone conversation.

Turns out she tried to get Lauren to go home with her so that they could have sex.

Lucy felt really guilty, however, especially since she wasn't herself due to drinking so much alcohol.

She of course had no idea where Lauren could've been, and that meant that the police were out of ideas.

"Mija, come over here and eat some dinner." Sinu told Camila, who had been barely responsive for the whole day.

"I'm not hungry." she replied. "Just give it all to Sofi."

Sinu scoffed at this. "We have only a few more days before you go back to work. Come spend time with your family."

Camila sighed, but figured she should just do as she's told.

So she sat down at the kitchen table right next to her sister.

"Kaki you don't look so good." Sofi whispered. "Have you gotten any sleep?"

Camila smiled tiredly at her. "Just worry about you, Sofi. I'm fine."

"You're still worrying over Lauren, I see." Sinu states. "It is not healthy to keep thinking these things, Karla. Your mind needs to be cleared from all of this."

"Mami, I said I'm fine." Camila whined. "Seriously, there's no need to-"

She yawned.

"-theres no need to worry."

Sinu didn't look convinced.

"Have you thought of hiring a therapist, maybe? It might help you out a lot, and help you release some of your troubles healthily."

Camila cocked an eyebrow. "So you basically think I'm insane? Thanks Mami."

"That's not what I meant." Sinu said, but Camila could trace a sense of uncertainty in her mother's voice.

Almost as though she didn't believe it herself.

Camila shook her head in disbelief.

"I don't need a therapist. I'm perfectly capable of handling this on my own."

"It's not healthy to bottle things up inside you." Sinu told her. "I'm very worried about you, please understand that."

Sighing, Camila got up to go walk out of the room.

"I'm worried too, Mami." she replied. "I'm worried that I'm never going to see Lauren again, and I know that I'm going to have to let go without being ready for it."

She felt Sofi staring at her with a frown.

"I told myself that if she didn't turn up by the time I went back to work," Camila began to explain, "then I'd stop concerning myself over it and give up looking and trying for her."

Sinu gave her a weak smile.

"Alright. Then you do that. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't still be considering therapy."

For the rest of dinner, no one said a word. It was completely silent.

The only noise being made was the clashing of forks and plates, and it was starting to drive Camila insane.
