It had been a good evening with Carter just sat in the back of his truck talking about nothing and everything.

I had been thinking that realistically Carter and I would only be hanging out together for a few more months; the final school year was nearly over and so after summer, we would both be going our separate ways.

"How was Carter last night?" Aria asked, as she flicked through the dresses in front of her.

We were both trying to find something to wear to the final dance. Everybody went to the final dance of the year, as it meant we all got to say goodbye; it was practically a legacy for every student to attend.

"Yeah it was good," I replied. "He took me to this secret place where he goes sometimes."

"Ooh, deep," she said, rolling her eyes.

"No, it was actually really sweet, we had fun."

"Oh yeah, how's the sex?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

"It's good," I laughed. "We didn't do it last night though."

My hand ran over a nice material of a dress, I picked it out from the rack and held it up to Aria for approval, but she was already staring me down.

"What do you mean "we didn't do it last night"?" She asked, mimicking my words.

"I mean exactly that, why?" I asked.

"Are you starting to have feelings for Carter or are you just hanging out now without the sex? Like are you dating?" Aria suddenly starting firing questions at me.

"No Aria!" I replied back, rolling my eyes.

"Ok, whatever you say!" She replied.

I stepped out the changing room and gave a quick three-hundred-and-sixty-degree spin around.

"Well..." I said.

"That's the one," she clapped. "Carter will fall in love with you in that!" She winked at me.

"You're unbelievable!" I laughed.

I sipped on my iced latte as Aria paid. I had managed to find us a perfect seat, half in the sun and half in the shade. The early sunny weather was lovely and I could feel the heat on my back, making me wish I was on holiday.

Just as I had comfortably relaxed in my seat, I spotted The Trio from the corner of my eye. Naturally in a small town, we all ran into each other on a regular basis.

I tried to hide in my seat wanting some time to enjoy the sun with Aria, but it was too late; Dylan had spotted us and came wandering straight over.

"What are you two up to?" He asked, sitting next to Aria as soon as she sat down.

"Dress shopping for the formal," she replied.

Carter and Jayden took the two remaining chairs either side of me.

"You girls going together?" Dylan asked.

"Probably, unless I get asked by someone else," Aria said in her flirting voice.

I shot her a look. Firstly, not smooth at all. Secondly, guess I'm going solo now. Thanks Hun.

Dylan whispered something into her ear that I couldn't make out, but judging by her face, she looked happy. I had a feeling it wouldn't be long until they were together properly; their pining had gone on long enough now.

"What about you Saffie? I'll take you," Jayden winked.

"Yeah because your girlfriend would appreciate that," Dylan responded.
