Chapter 12: Harry Is Gone

Professor Snape opened his eyes, "where is Harry I need to see Harry", said Professor Snape. "He's gone" said Draco. "What do you mean he's gone" cried Professor Snape. "Right after I woke up I went to look for him" said Draco with a slight blush on his face thinking about the new discoveries he had found with his tale. "You went to look for him, so how do you know he's gone?" questioned Professor Snape. "I found a note addressed to me and one addressed to you" said Draco. "What does yours say?" questioned Professor Snape. "It says, Dear, Draco. When you read this, I will be long gone. I'm sorry that I didn't stick around, but I needed to make sense of everything and clear my head. I just wanted to say thank you for sticking up for me with Ron and being my friend. Since you will never see me again I guess it's fine to tell you that I've started developing feelings for you. Goodbye Draco, please look after my dad for me he's all I have left even if he doesn't know it.

After, Draco read it out-loud to Snape it finally all hit him. Harry likes him and he's gone forever. With that thought Draco burst out crying because he too likes Harry. After Severus returned from his shock, he grabbed Draco and pulled him into a firm embrace. "It's ok Draco we will find him I promise. I want to see my son again." Said Severus with tears in his eyes. " I can't believe that he left." Said Draco. "I believe that there is something deeper than left. I believe that he thought that we wouldn't accept him for whatever reason". Said Severus sadly. "Well maybe it has something to do with the Dursleys, I haven't meet them and Harry hasn't talked about them, but I overheard a long time ago that they were horrible." Said Draco. "Those sons of bitches, it is them I know it." Said Severus.

Just then Severus saw Madam Pomfrey. "What are we going to do, how are we going to find him." Said Severus. "Well maybe you shouldn't go looking for him. He might need some time to think. This is all happening so fast for him." Said Madam Pomfrey. "What do you mean we shouldn't look for him." Said Severus angrily. "He's my son." Said Severus with tears in his eyes. " And I want to be there for him. I've missed so much of his life." Said Severus. "I know Severus, but I couldn't help ,but overhear that he gave you and Draco letters. He also gave one to me." Said Madam Pomfrey. " Dear, Madam Pomfrey. Thank you so much for helping my father retrieve his memories and for helping Draco unlock his inheritance. Thank you for always being there for me even when I didn't need it. You've honestly been like a mother to me when I've been at Hogwarts and I want to thank you tremendously. Please tell Draco and my father not to come looking for me because I think I need some time to think and be on my own. Thank you again and goodbye. Love, Harry."

"What should we do". Said Severus with a panicked voice. "We should make a plan". Said Madam Pomfrey. "Oh and by the way, I'm pretty sure the Dursleys did do something bad to Harry". "What, how do you know?" Said Severus. "Every year when I do my check-ins on the students to make sure they are ok. When Harry came in, he looked a little scared like I will figure out some sort of secret". Said Madam Pomfrey. "And how is that bad". Said Severus. "Maybe he just doesn't like being examined" "Here's the thing though, he always has a whole bunch of injuries. When I ask him how he got them he just says something lame like he fell. I've been watching him and he's like the most careful student I know''. Said Madam Pomfrey. "So your saying he is being abused and you didn't tell me". Said Severus with a look of disgust. "I didn't tell you because it wasn't any of your business. When I found out you hated him. I also told Albus thinking he would take care of it". Said Madam Pomfrey. "Did he?". Said Severus. "No Albus did shit. He said that Harry was making it all up for attention. And that's when I got really involved with Harry's life. I healed him when he came to school and sent him care packages during the summer. I did this because I knew that with Albus alive there was no way that I could even think about getting Harry's custody". Said Madam Pomfrey. "Did Harry know that you were sending him the care packages?" Said Severus. "I'm pretty sure he caught on when I asked him if he received them" Said Madam Pomfrey. "So what's the plan". Asked Draco.
