Hunter POV

After driving for half an hour, we finally reached our new high school. BerryWeather High.

It is a large school that was probably built in the 1900s sometime. Most of it reminded me of Dracula's castle, however, some parts had a modern touch. Honestly it's the most confusing school I've been to in the last 6 years.

"I'm not looking forward to this year Hunter, what if everyone hates me? What is no one wants to be my friend? What if I get lost or eaten by some monster?" Hanna whispered. I could sense how scared she was, and I instantly became worried. I have never seen her look worried about her first day and any of our previous schools.

"It's gonna be okay Han, your going to make a ton of friends, play soccer with the schools team and if you do get lost, just ask someone where to go" I replied, hearing the fear in my voice. I hope she didn't notice how my voice slightly shook or that my hands are shaking.

Together we followed the signs to the office. I don't know why but something made me hesitate. I looked around the hallway, and noticed that the only door was right at the end. It was huge and arched, the colour reminded me of blood. In fact the whole hallway was black and blood red, which caused and odd feeling to stir in my stomach. I walked up to the door, and gently knocked twice. A deep, booming voice called us into the office.

I slowly pushed open the door before stepping aside to let Hanna enter. Cautiously, she took a few steps into the room. I tensed, waiting, a few seconds later I saw my sister's shoulders relax. I moved into the room beside her and glanced around.

The room was quite plain. Except for the dark wooden desk and a few red and black lounge chairs, the room was empty. There are no pictures or posters, and the window is covered by thick black curtians. The walls are blood red and the floor and ceiling are black.

Before sitting down I looked to the man seated behind the desk. Studying him, I realised that his skin was very pale, and his eyes almost looked like they were deep red, not Brown. Either way, he was definitely good looking. Or Hanna thought so anyway.

"Well well well, who do we have here" he asked, his voice sounding like honey. "Uh good morning Sir?" I said, not knowing what to call him "my name is Hunter, and this is my sister Hanna"

When I introduced Hanna, the man looked at her, as if studding her, before smiling. "This is our first day sir, and may I say that this is a georgous school" I said, recapturing his attention.

"Ah yes, the transfers. What years are you in?" The man inquired. "I um...I'm uh..." I stuttered, "no need to be nervous boy, I won't bite" he calmly remarked before chuckling like he had made a joke.

"I'm in year eight and Hunt is in year twelve" Hanna replied, slowly. She looked at me, a panicked look in her eyes. I have never seen her like this. I'm not sure why she is so worried about this man, I've never seen he worried about anyone except me.

The strange man and Hanna began to speak after a moment of silence, however I was not listening. I let my eyes wonder around the room again, however my eyes came to rest on the stranger again. I studied him, trying to work out why Hanna was so nervous when she met him.

What do you think? Why was Hanna nervous, and who is the mysterious man? What secrets will be uncovered in the next chapter?
