Gynaecologists Again

    We left the woman's office with the three vials we asked for, and since we were dumb enough to not bring our car, we had to walk. We walked for an hour when it would've taken 10 minutes by car. "What were we thinking not taking one of the cars?" Jess asked me, she was breathing hard, I could see the sweat collecting in her hair. We stopped walking and I looked at her, she was partially bent over supporting herself with her hands on her legs. "I don't really know honestly." I replied as I offered her a piggyback ride nonverbally and she jumped onto my back. I kept walking, and eventually we were home.

    Okay let me go and call the Gynaecologist now yeah?" Jess asked me as she slid off my back. "Okay. You do that I'm gonna get water." I said gesturing to the door. She nodded her head as she put her phone to her ear. I opened the door and walked through the living room to the kitchen. I opened the cupboard and got a glass, then turned on the water. It came out the faucet and into the cup. I had a sneaking suspicion that I was forgetting something, so I thought for a minute. I couldn't remember, so I joined Jess outside and I heard her finish up the call. "So... want to know when I scheduled for?" Jess asked me, I took a sip before answering. "Sure, tell me whatcha got?" I asked Jess who didn't say anything for a few seconds. She then walked to the Civic of hers and put the container in her backseat. "Two hours." She then said as she opened the passenger door of her car. I jumped in as quickly as possible and Jess shut the door before running to the driver side and starting the car.

    It was a longish drive there, and soon we got there. She turned off the car and we both got out of her car. She opened the backseat and took the container out before closing the door. I had the door open for her already and she then behaved like a princess, it was adorable to watch. "Thank you, Mrs. Redd!" She said standing in the doorway. "You're welcome, Mrs. Redd!" I replied, holding her back as she walked through. I dropped the door behind us. I walked her to a window where a woman was to help us. "Hi! Jessica Redd! Gynaecologist!" Jess said throwing the entirety of her weight onto the counter trying to speak properly. She kept stuttering. I stepped forward and Jess stepped to her right. "Hi, this is Jessica Red, here to see Dr. Sheldon." I said for her, I took the container from her hand and held it up to the woman. "Thank you. She'll be with you shortly. Give the container to your nurse when you go in. She said and Jess nodded before flying to the chairs.

    "Thank you." I said and I left the counter and sat down next to Jess. Within minutes, the nurse called for Jess. We both got off the seats but the nurse stopped me. "We don't allow friends for this." She said. "My brows furrowed sharply and I stepped forward. "I'm her wife, I'm coming in." I said to her, Jess watched everything unfold. "Sorry you can't come in." The nurse said, and I answered quickly. "Do I need to get a manager?" I said, my voice was lowering itself. She stood there for a few moments before letting me in reluctantly. I hand her the container and she angrily grabbed it and took us to the room she'd be getting inseminated in. She put the container in the fridge in the room. She left the room without saying a word. I followed her and said something to her. "Will Dr. Sheldon be in soon?" I asked her, she didn't turn around. "Yes." She said abruptly. I turned around and went back to the room Jess was in. I sat on the table next to her. "Everything okay?" Jess asked me, I saw her tender face show sweetness and concern. "Yeah. She'll be in soon.

"How are you doing?" I asked Jess in return, she just randomly hugged me at that point. "I'm excited but I'm also scared. What if something goes wrong?" Jess asked me, I felt my insides get soft. "I cannot promise that you will be able to give birth to our son or daughter, but I can promise you one way or another we will have a mini Redd." I said hugging her. I could feel her tension leave her body. We heard a knock on the door and Dr. Sheldon came in. Hi guys, that was quick. I heard there was something about Petra not allowed in here with Jess what's wrong?" She said to us and I answered "Yeah we're okay. Thanks for the concern." She started to do various things. "I'll pass on a note while Jess changes that you're allowed in with her at all times." She said to us and Jess sighed deeply. "Thank you." I replied holding Jess's knee. "I'll be back in a few." She said closing the door. She started to take her clothes off and I became her human coatrack. She slid on the gown that was uniform for patients.

Dr. Sheldon came back minutes after with a syringe that had something in it, the stuff from one of the vials. "Are you both ready for this?" She asked walking closer to Jess who was on the table. I was still on the table with her. I nodded my head and looked at Jess. She nodded slowly. I put my arm across her chest to comfort her. "Lie down for me please." Dr. Sheldon asked Jess, I let go of Jess and scooted further down the table and Jess started to lie down. Jess put her head in my lap. I saw it all happen. Jess said it felt weird. Soon I saw the syringe was empty. "Okay. You should stay like that for half an hour, you're all set otherwise. You should know within two weeks. See you soon!" Our Gynaecologist said as she left the room. I looked down at Jess once more. She was staying completely still, she didn't move any muscle at all that I could see. "Are you okay?" I asked her, she seemed rather dazed. "I'm okay I'm just taking it all in." She replied shifting her eyes to look at me. I started stroking her hair affectionately.

    I did this the whole half hour and eventually we could leave. Jess got dressed again and I signed her out. She was behind me the whole time. I walked her to the car and I drove this time. I felt a shift in the energy in the air so I looked at Jess at the red light. "Hey Petra?" Jess asked me, she seemed serious. "Yeah?" I replied, curious to see what she'd say. "We're gonna have a kid." She said, now looking at her stomach. I did the same. I put my hand on it instinctively. It felt good to hold her stomach. She seemed to like it too. Soon the light changed and I drove home with my hand on Jess the whole way. When I pulled in I turned off the car. I got out and went around and opened the door for Jess. I undid her seatbelt and carried her into the home. I walked up the stairs and into our bedroom. I put her on the bed and I climbed in with her. She adjusted her position so her head was on my stomach. Pretty quickly Jess fell asleep, and eventually, I did too. I was inside my dream state where all is possible.
