Fire and Sand had two kits together and Fire named Leaf after LeafS and Spotted, while Squirrel is named after her fluffy tail. Cute, right? Well that was when the two kits were born.
When Squirrel and Leaf were apprentices, two toms loved Squirrel, those toms were Bramble and Storm. Later when Squirrel was a warrior, Storm left, but! The love drama doesn't end there, yet. Ash walked in and stole Squirrel's heart, at least he thinks that. Fire was loyal to Sand but barely did anything for his kits for some reason, I'll explain the best I could. Gray got kidnapped and Bramble, the winner of the A x S x B love triangle, became deputy. Lion, Holly, and Jay existed now. Bramble thought they were his, but he doesn't realize they were Crow and Leaf's.
When Bramble noticed the truth, he began being a dick to Squirrel for that. Fire sat there and watched the drama, didn't even protect his own kit.
Enough said, you can find out the rest, I believe Fire didn't care for his kits to be honest.
