First Day Of School

It's senior year. The last year of high school before college so I better hit it off on the right foot.

"Good morning." Mom smiles.

"Morning. Is Yelena up? It's her first day too." I say.

"Papa was supposed to wake her up."

"I'll wake her up."

I walk into the Fast and Furious themed room and see my little sister asleep.

"Hey, wake up little sister." I say.

She groans and refuses. I shake her until she gives in.

"C'mon being a sophmore can't be so bad. Look at me." I say as she gets up and looks through her closet.

"That's because you're graduating, but I'll be in junior next year."

"Uhh, me too. College remember?"

"But you can party and fuck shit up-"

Before I could say anything a flying pillow hits Yelena in the face. My guess is, it came from mama.

"Watch your mouth or my hand will become that pillow." Mama shouts.

"On the bright side...you won't be living with mam-"

"Yelena!!" My mama reminds us that she has perfect ears and these walls are too thin.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I love you mama." Yelena reassures her and hugs her.

"You better." Papa comes out of their room.

"You said you'd wake her up. What happened?" Mama asks.

"Me? I thought you said you were going to." Papa kisses mom, his way of saying 'good morning' to her and takes a seat next to me.

"As long as she's awake." Mama pours Papa some coffee in his usual to-go cup.

"Yeah, I don't know about that." Yelena sets her bowl down making herself some cereal. "I think I'll just sleep in all my classes."

And what do you know..mama's hand smacks her back head.

"What? There's no point of me going to school. Just let me go work on cars." Yelena argues.

"You're smart, my darling. Use it so you can really work on cars and make the biggest money out of it." Papa said.

My 16 year old little sister, Yelena, is also ready to drop out for her love for cars. My mama, Talia, who's an assistant for papa, Nathan, being the boss of Romebloom.

And there's me. 18 year old Natasha Romanoff. The oldest of my family. That's basically it for me. No interests except to get accepted to college and enjoy my senior year.

"It's time for you two to go." Mama announces.

Yelena and I take our bags and I grab my keys to my car. As we're walking on the driveway, my sister talks to me about learning how to drive this year and wanting me to help her. Even though, mama and papa can help her, she wants me for some reason. My sister and I take care of each other well and have each others backs, just as papa taught us.

"Wait!" Someone called out.

It was papa. Again.

He came out with his camera for his yearly pictures of our first day. Can't blame him, we grew up quick and I love it when he does this.

"Okay. You two be good, okay? It only the first damn day, alright?" Papa said after taking a million pictures.

Last year, Yelena and I pranked some jocks who bullied some freshmens on the first day of school. We don't like bullies.

"Yes. Promise. Love you guys." I said before getting into my car. Yelena shouts something at my parents..that's when I saw him.

Steve Rogers

I had a crush on him but it vanished into thin air when I heard he was dating Sharon stupid Carter. Well, I thought it vanished. I don't know why he was here on my side of the town, he lives pretty far from here. I shook my thoughts away and began driving as Yelena got in. I parked my car next to Bucky's car. I notice his plate '3ARNE5' and Wanda came out of it, fixing her shirt. No surprise.

My friend group includes Wanda, Maria, Isabel, and Daisy. Along with their boyfriends and their bf's friends too. A pretty big group but we were never popular and now that we're seniors..We are now.

"First day of senior year, what are we doing today boys?" Barnes said.

"Let's go taunt some freshmens." Doug said and they all laugh in agreement.

"No, don't do that." Wanda gives him a stern look.

"Damn, babe, you look like you had a bad summer. Did Bucky not hit the spot?" Maria jokes and Bucky mocks her but Wanda laughs with us.

"How's is going kid?" Sam teased Yelena.

"Fine." Yelena answers him. Yelena has always had a crush on Sam, since Maria and him started talking.

"Bebe, don't scare her." Maria laughs, slinging her arn around Yelena's shoulder. Maria is like another big sister to Yelena, so she also teases her about liking her boyfriend. "Don't worry. I'm kinda getting tired of him, you can have him next."

Yelena laughs, "Okay, enough. I'm taking her now." I say.

"Oh wait, um, come to Wanda's party on Friday?" Bucky stops us mid-walk.

"Um, Buc, you know I don't go to back to school parties." I said.

"Please? It's our senior year and I kinda have set you up on a date.." He said.

"Whoa." Yelena said.

"Wait what? Why?" I ask.

"Just come, okay? Yelena can come too. Plus, this is our friend group only." Bucky said.

"Fine." I say.

"Thank you." He said, kissing my forehead before leaving.

"So, party? Yess." Yelena said, jumping up and down like she won a million dollars.

"Just promise me one thing. Don't sleep with anyone until you tell mama that your sleeping with people so she can get you on birth control." I say.

"Yes, I know but I won't need it. I'm still a virgin and I'm scared to lose it." She says.

"It does hurt but if you find someone who you trust enough that knows what they're doing, it'll be like getting your ears pierced. The pain goes away almost immediately after the impact." I said.

We'd reach her first period and stopped our walk.

"I'll always be there for you, y'know?" I said.

"Yeah. Now, are you getting it too? The least you can do for that blind date is rock his world." She jokes.

"No, I'm not wasting my time on him if the date sucks." I said. "Go. The bells gonna ring."

"What about you? Won't you be late?" She asks.

"I'm a senior, I almost don't care. Plus, Madame Rosseau is fine with us being a little late." I said beginning to walk away.

"Watch me be you." She said.

"Be better." I wink and head to my class.

"Bonjour." Madame says.

We respond back in French. She begins talking about what our year will look like as seniors. I had a feeling someone was looking at me, so I looked around the classroom. We made eye contact. His blue eyes, blonde hair, long lashes, soft looking lips, his little dimples showing, and how I look at him so differently now with different feelings.

Oh god...
