It's been days.
Everyone is worried.
And people are losing their minds as we are running out of food.

As the hands on the clock continue to move clockwise, the more intense it was for everyone.

"Sydney!" I heard someone call out. Looking up, I see Maggie walking up to where I was sitting in the kitchen.

"Hey." I whispered, gripping my hot chocolate mug. She had cut her hair not too long ago. It looks cute on her.

"People are going to start looking tomorrow if they don't show up tonight. Is that cool?" I nodded. Rick needs to show up, he always does.

"Of course. That's nice of them." I got up and put my mug into the sink, and sat back down.

"So, how have you bee-"

"THEY'RE BACK!" Rosita yelled. I instantly got up and ran to the gate where she was. There was the truck that Daryl, Rick, and Sasha had taken on their run.

Daryl was the first to get out, nodding to people who were surrounding the car in curiosity. His rather vest looked ripped and dirty.

Then Sasha got out smiling but looking pale- ish." But I wasn't worried about her or Daryl. Even though he'll either ask me or Carol to wash the vest.

My heart started pounding out of my chest as I saw Rick get out. Everyone seemed stunned by his looks. His eye was red and swollen. There were cuts all over him, and his clothes were very ripped.

He could pass as a walker.

He walked with a limp while it went silent. Everyone looked at him as he made his way to me.

"Hey Syd." He said, his voice sounded like he hadn't had anything to drink since he left on the run.

I engulfed him in a hug as he stiffened in pain.
"Let's take a look at you." I said, releasing him and taking his hand.

He whined a bit as I was laying the cold towel on his eye.
"Sorry." I whispered. He hummed in response and drew circles on my arm with his finger.

"I love you." He said. I smiled a bit, tilting his head up so he was looking at me.

"I love you too."
