Jane looks around as the horrors of her life sweeps past her, the remains of her house fluttering past, carried by the wind. She shivered as the breeze hit her bare arms and legs, gathering goose bumps. As she began to get up a searing pain went through her, causing tears to sting her face as they streamed down her cheeks. She glanced down at her leg and cursed, forcing herself to stand anyways.

Figuring that no one was around, she let herself limp as she started walking, her leg threatening to to give way any second, be she knew it wouldn't, it never had before. With her family gone she would have to go to an inn, but that's miles from here. Might as well start walking in the right direction.

Jake watched her in the shadow's of the buildings, lurking there, trying not to make as much sound as possible. Once he got a good look at her he realized, she's about the same age as him, maybe six-teen, he figures she's about five foot five. With silky dirty blonde hair that sweeps just below her shoulder blades, and of course she has the typical Imagine Dragons shirt on with grey jean shorts to, add a nice touch to the navy blue shirt. All the sudden a blast of cold air sweeps through his jacket and he realizes that it's about thirty degrees out, he knows she won't last the night.

Jake follows her anyways, snow's starting to fall and the girls's shivering uncontrollably now, but he's not going to interfere, not this time. He looks at the ground making sure he doesn't step on any twigs or anything that can snap, and that he's not leaving any tracks behind. Using a bush as a broom fanning the snow out and smoothing it down, almost making his tracks disappear completely, as he stalks on.

When he finally looks up, he finds the girls head turning to look back and leaps to get farther into the shadows, as he begins to start to struggle with his breathing trying to keep it staggered so she doesn't see the cloud of mist, indicating that he's there. He begins to slowly reach up towards his bow, knowing that as soon as he touches it everything will be fine. For some reason it's always given him reassurance, maybe it's because it's the one thing he's kept his entire life, but no one knows and no one ever will. before he steps out again out of the shallow part of the shadows he reaches for his cowl, his white gloves disappearing with the hood as he slips it on, the snow instantly taking him in like he was never there in the first place.

Jane wraps her arms around herself even tighter, trying to keep as much body heat as possible, as she turns back around. She lets out a long sigh as the building comes into view, it's on the corner of two streets which means she doesn't know what's on the other side, but right now she doesn't care. When all the sudden, someone grabs her from behind, bringing her around so he can get a swing at her face, until their eyes meet. When he realizes who it is he brings out a knife, she tries to lash out but he just blocks it and goes for her face again. Until his eyes glassed over and all the sudden he was a heap on the ground, his back producing an arrow. She looks up to see something white moving into the alley, but dismisses it right away knowing that she could become the next victim.

She turns her back on it, and begins to race away hoping that she was to far away now, but never giving up on the chance that he could strike at her. She stops at the door, looks around quickly scanning the area and then bursts inside. The heat welcoming her as someone said, "Hello, how can I help you?" Jane looked around afraid that it was a trick, and then realizes that it was the desk lady and replies, "A room for one, just for tonight please." The lady who's apparently named Kathleen just nodded and started typing furiously on her computer, the cash register ringing up twenty-five bucks.

Jane takes out her wallet and realizes that she only has seventy and would have to go to the bank sometime, so she gives her a twenty and a five, in return she hands me a key and says, "Your room 205, top floor" Jane nods searching for the elevator, once she find it she looks around, the place seems to be in the style of ice. The walls a white that seemed to be clear, yet wasn't the floors the same style, a bridge making it's way across a river. The bridge has icicles all over it hanging down like lights almost, she just makes it to the elevator not really caring anymore. Once she reaches her room all she sees is the bed, at least that's all her mind takes in before she collapsed on it, out.

Meanwhile Jake's vaguely aware that he turned his back on her for far to long and that he would have to catch up some other way. Once he looked up he knew exactly what to do, the external stair case hanging off of the apartment, in one swift move he jumps up grabbing a metal grate. His gloves barely protecting him from the searing cold as he braces himself to launch upwards, once he's finished climbing he starts to run. His boot print imprinted in the snow as he leaps for the next roof, he knows that she's probably inside somewhere but it's worth a shot. Then he sees her, she's opening the door to an inn, trying to look calm and non distressed. He chuckles to himself as he watches her freak out as someone speaks inside, knowing that he'd have to get that room number later.
