"Welcome to the Flamingo Ranch!" Someone blasts in Janes ear. Jane whirls around, her hand automatically going to her switchblade. The entire lobbies pink, stuffed, plastic you name it the flamingos there. The lady looks at Janes face, a light showing that the lady recognized her even though Jane doesn't know her. The lady snaps her fingers, a door appearing on Janes other side, making her turn around.

Jane hears someone whispering in her ear, "You'll need these." Realizing it's the lady again she just glances her way, before turning all the way around seeing two beams held in the ladies hands. They're about eight and a half inches long, two buttons on one side of each. Jane admired them intently and then realized that the lady wanted her to take them, hastily she took them baring the weight of each.

That's when they start to change, the beams changing into a wide octagon, with four buttons in all on each side, the ends pointed, "Don't open them until you're inside." The lady warned, making Jane pause in the process of going to press the button. The Lady gestured for her to go through the door, making Jane glance that way. Seeing that it's pitch black she looks back at the lady and then down at the bars knowing she has nothing to lose.

She shrugs getting ready to press the buttons as soon as she steps into the darkness, walking until she's finally inside she turns to look back. The doors gone, like it was never there, leaving her just stand there in a pitch black room. She presses a random button on each bar, a beam shooting out rounding at the top. It's about a foot long, it's glow that of a fire. It's flames licking the air in pure mockery waiting to strike, looking at the other weapon it looks like water. The waves tumbling up to the sky, almost like it's in a invisible tank, experimentally she moves the wand around. The waves lurching forward with the movement, the fire flickering as it cuts through the dark.

Pressing a different button on each the one with the fire, shoots out a transparent blade. The only thing indicating that it's there is the faint white glow, the energy in it moving up no matter what. Almost like wind as she watches it. The blade with water has earth spring out, it's rocky ridges giving it a razor sharp look. The color of dried mud, almost like wet sand in the dessert.

She swings the blades around, accidentally touching the the water with the wind creating ice. Creating an outer coat over the water, making it look like it's cracking, but when she runs her hand over it it cuts her hand just as easily as it would a cake. She lets her eyes adjust to the darkness, the path she's standing on's about six feet long.

She peers over the edge realizing that there's something lurking there, the darkness moving like water. When she looks back up something smacks her hard, forcing her to drop one of her weapons it skids across the path. Going straight underneath the creature and landing 20 feet from it on the other side. She grips onto the other one like her life depends on it, sliding across the slick floor.

The beasts black, it has a rocky figure to it, it's eye like flames of ember. Something's slowly trickling down the corners of it's mouth, the same color of it's eyes but a liquid form. She brought the ice and earth blades up, her hands about three inches apart on the bar. Guessing were the beast would strike next she puts the blades sideways, crossing her body and barring the beast from entry. The beast snarls at her and leaps for her face.

Jake hears a door hiss open behind him and whirls around, his eyes automatically searching the figure for weapons. Looking at him completely he realizes that the figure has ice blue eyes and blue hair, the tips look like he either has to much hair spray or they were frosted. "Welcome back Jake." the figure says, Jake bows from the waist, his fingers brushing the ground. "Afternoon Holden." Jake replies coldly, slowly straightening back up.

Holden eyes him curiously wondering what has changed about him the he was missing. He let's it go motioning for Jake to follow him. Jake catches Holden watching him and silently notes to watch out for any tricks. He closes the door behind him ascending a set of stairs into a room with two chairs in it, book shelves full of books piled in a corner. What really caught his eye was the glass pane, it shows the testing room were Jane's being tested. Looking back at Holden he realizes that Holden had sat down and hurries to do the same.

"She's doing very well" Holden says, Jake only nods watching the creature that Jane's going against. Holden catches were he's looking at and passes a book towards him. It's already opened to a page that read: The Molten Golem's a dangerous beast that runs in packs, the pack leader's always at the back. Waiting and watching it's prey for any signs of weakness. It's rocky figure serves as armor against any weapon, it's slobber lava, drooling at the corners of it's mouth. It's eyes made of fire embers, always searching for a way to break you. It only shoots fire when it thinks the times right, surprising it's prey and killing it. Jake looks up curious to see how this fight will end.

Jane brings the ice to it's mouth, the beasts teeth keeping it from going anywhere. She tries to jerk it forward when an orange glow starts to ignite in the back of it's throat, slowly getting brighter until lava shoots out of it's mouth. Jane screams, her weapon shedding it's coating of ice as the heat burns it, half of her face completely burned.

Her blades water, not knowing if that's an advantage or disadvantage she jumps. Turning her weapon off so she can tuck her arms and legs in, making it easier to flip and get more air so the beast won't get her. Landing on the metal surface of the path she automatically presses the water button twice. The blade shooting out on either side of the bar, stabbing the beast as easily as cutting butter.

It screeches at her as the fire in its eyes slowly fade, it's brothers and sisters echoing the screech. Jane slowly turns around, looking at the hundreds of creatures, all of them ready to shoot lava at her, their mouths open. She leaps out and off of the edge, only seconds later did the room light up as lava filled the space she used to be standing on.

She yelped as she lands on something hard and firm, it's skin a fiery yellow with black symbols embedded in it's scales. Its wings look like burning paper with the edges charcoal black, instantly going to the fiery yellow inches in. It's head sharp and pointed from what she can see, it roars the sound like a clap of thunder, echoing off of the walls and scaring off the Molten Golems.

All except the main Golem, it's figure towering over the dragon. Purposely passing by Janes blade so she can pick it up. She keeps both of them open ready to take out the Golem. When the creature she's on top of roars again, this time bringing lightning with it. The lightning surging through the space between the two beasts, hitting the Golem straight in the chest. It screeched and the dragon threw Jane off of it, making her go through the door on the other side of the Golem. She covers her eyes as light blinds her, making her stop and just stay put until her eyes adjust.

Jake and Holden watch in amazement as the Thunder Clapper attacks the Golem for Jane. killing it in one swift strike to the throat, then flying out to the door, waiting silently for Jane to recover from the glare. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Holden asks Jake, Jake only nods trying to find his voice to say something. He finally says, "No ones been able to do that in thousands of years." Holden reluctantly tears his eyes away from the sight and looks at Jake, "Maybe you're right, maybe she's the one."
