Staring at the ceiling, Dustin was completely clueless of what to do next. With the constant voice nagging, asking if he couldn't have kept his dick in his pants a little while longer.
His door creaked open and in peered his mother, with an apologetic look glinting in her eyes.
"Dustin. I should have told you" she breathed coming over to sit on his bed.
"It's alright. I know now. I'll just keep a sharper eye" he muttered glancing to his window.
"Don't let her being a Juvente make you treat her any different son. I've seen the way she looks at you. How she acts. Have you?"
"No. There was an instance but no" he lied partially, meeting his mothers eyes as she smirks.
"She's already roped into this life the moment she was conceived. We as girls know how to act" she chuckled, her eyes staring into the empty silence after.
"I love you Dust, but on another note I should tell you that your expecting someone new to look after" she hummed then kissed his forhead. His brows knitted in confusion.
"Our home isn't a safe haven for anyone" he spat but dialed back seeing his mother's expression harden.
"It is for her. I'm expecting a baby girl. Your father likes Jade Daniella but I love Citrine Lazuli. I want her to be my little gem" she smiled rubbing her hand over her tummy.
"Then let her be your little gem. Citrine Lazuli Toscani has a better ring anyways. It's nicer to yell" he laughed remembering the many times his mother yelled his full name when he was pissed.
"So that's a three to one vote then. Thank you son. Your gonna make a wonderful big brother to her" she hugged her son and left.
Soon after the likes of Mia entered his room, she hung her head low and played with her fingers.
"Hi" she breathed biting her lip.
"So you know who I am?"
"Yeah"
"Does it change anything?" Her voice went squeaky as she sat opposite to him. He didn't answer right away. He say there thinking.
"Dustin?"
"It does" he says coldly.
"Your more of an asset now seeing your who's everyone's after. The last bit of Alphonse" he sneered. She turned her head away. She pulled out his gun and pointed it right at him, tears streaming down her cheeks as she stared at him coldly.
"I'm tired of being looked down on because of my father. Are you telling me what have is gone just because of my last name?" Her voice trembled slightly.
"Long gone. I'm not to get attached to the task at hand. You." his tone stayed cold.
Mia rose planting the gun in his head then cocking it.
"Shoot me and you have another family after you for blood this time" he chuckled shrugging.
"Better yet" he paused holding the gun.
"Shoot me where I stay dead Mia Juvente" his lips turned upright. She flipped the gun and hit him across the head.
Hard.
Inflicting a slight wound and a headache that would last a while.
"No puedo creer que fue tan ingenuo dormir contigo. Mi mama tenía razón, yo nunca escucho" she spat with a hiccup then slammed his door.
Leaving Dustin to nurse his pounding head.
