As we were boarding the plane, I see the pilot throwing up in a small trash can in the cockpit right before a flight attendant gives me a threatening look and closes the door. That couldn't be good I thought to myself. I lookat Ellie and see that she is already in our seat flirting with a Hawaiian boy in front of her. I sit down next to her and settle in my seat. The flight from San Diego was only 5 hours so it shouldn't be that bad. I put on my noise blocker headphones and close my eyes for what I think is just a second.
All of a sudden I awake to Ellie grabing my hand. "Ellie what the-" The pilot just said there was going to be turbulence." said Ellie cutting me off. I know Ellie doesn't like planes very much so I hold her hand and tell her it will be fine. I look out the window and see a flash of bright light and hear a low rumble of thunder. I hear Ellie breathing heavily, so I give her my noise blocking headphones. The pilot comes on the intercom and tells us to fasten our seatbelts, for it was going to get worse before it got better.
