It had been two months since Jeongin sent Chan the message. He had not been expecting it, and in his mind, it hadn't really connected.

Chan and Jeongin had been best friends since Jeongin was in the third grade. It was lunch, and Jeongin was sitting alone. Chan remembered it vividly.

The boy had a pink lunch box. Inside was a peanut butter and banana sandwhich. It was cut into triangles and most importantly had no crust. The sandwhich had been paired with a small juice box and fruit snacks.

Chan noticed that no one explicitly picked on the boy, or made it obvious that they avoided him, but no one made the move to be his friend, either. So he decided to be friendly and say hello.

At first Jeongin was shy, which Chan thought was kind of cute. Sometimes he'd trip over his words, and turn a light shade of pink. Chan adored him. Every day after that he'd sit there with Jeongin, talking about their favorite tv shows, games, and anything that came to mind.

They both loved music. Chan liked to rap, and when he got older, it became popular with the ladies. Jeongin liked to sing, but always kept it between him, Channie, and Jisung, their mutual friend. The three bonded over music over the years.

Now that Jeongin was gone, he and Jisung didn't hang out as much. Jisung had been closer with Jeongin since they were closer in age, and both were really hyper and sensitive. It hadn't shocked him that Jisung would follow. Whenever they'd make eye contact in the hallway, he'd give a small smile.

Jeongin, though, completely cut Chan out of his life. He went a different route in the hallway, changed his lunch hour, and even blocked his number. He was quick to leave, and it hurt the older.

He never realized how happy Jeongin made him. How his heart would beat quicker, or he would continuously smile when he was around. Now that he was gone, he had realized, that Jeongin was never like a brother to him.

Chan was walking in the local park by the school. The one he and Jeongin would always head to when they skipped English. He, now, was broken hearted too and had been hoping that Jeongin was still waiting. That maybe he'd catch a glimpse in the hallway and would talk to him. But Jeongin didn't wait for him.

Jeongin was sat next to a boy who was slightly taller than himself. He had dark brown hair, brown eyes, and a white smile. He looked like a puppy. He watched as Jeongin laid his head on the boy's shoulder, as they intertwined their fingers and smiled happily together.

And he watched as the boy kissed his pretty baby's forehead.

The end!

This story was kind of a mess, but I enjoyed writing it, and I hope you enjoyed reading it too!

Ps. I think the next story I write will be fluffy :)
