Chapter 10

Bharat is still knocking on the door and also pressing the door bell.

"Johnson I'm not leaving this place until you open this door." Bharat continues banging on the door.

"Johnson I think you should talk to him. Dad and mom may be back any minutes."
Johnson opens the door in front of him.

"Why are you doing this? Johnson asks. "You are behaving like I'm married to you. If you don't know it's supposed to be your brother who is supposed to be here."

"I know but the way you're behaving isn't going to solve anything. You need to come back home sit down and discuss it. Your decision is too rash."

"Don't your dare. Your brother, my husband cheated on me on our honey moon." Johnson holds back the tears. "Over my dead body will I sleep next to a cheater. Don't talk or behave like you know anything. Oh wait my decision is too rash. Gosh you got to be kidding me."

"Johnson, I'm sorry. I didn't know. But let's just talk about this."

"You need to leave. You have tried. It's been almost 15 hours since I left but your brother has not even called, you know what that means he is still with his... gosh."
Johnson steps back into the house and bangs the door even more louder than before.
Bharat goes back home and sees his parents and Sagar in the living room. Bharat out of anger goes to Sagar and jerks him up squeezing his collar.
"How could you? You married the perfect husband and you treat him like trash." Bharat snarls.
"I'm a man. I have desires and after all, Johnson keeps resisting me when I get close to him."
"You lying bastard."
"It's the truth. I think he has a lover also." Sagar says. "I saw him talking to a man in a club we went to."
Bharat releases Sagar's collar.
"I knew that ungrateful son in law of you all had something wrong with him." Durga says.
"So why blame me? If he has someone he sleeps with then why shouldn't I?"
"Sagar, stop lying. You slept with someone else on your honey moon. I mean who does that?" Bharat yells.
"So you believe Johnson more than you believe me?" Sagar asks.
Bharat just ignores him and goes upstairs to his room and bangs the door close.
"Sagar, your actions will always have consequences." Garg says also going upstairs.
"Garg mind what you say. My son would never cheat I bet it's Johnson who's trying to turn you all against Sagar and you can't see it?" Durga yells but Garg still goes upstairs.

Jared and Miriam are seated in the sitting room listening to what Johnson is telling them.
"And Tania told us but we didn't believe her. I'm so sorry Tania." Miriam apologies.
"It's okay mom." Tania smiles at her mother.
"Don't worry about anything Johnson. You are not going back to that family where you are maltreated, right Jared?"
Jared doesn't say anything and just stares looking lost.
"Jared, I'm talking to you." Miriam says touching her husband's palm.
"Oh I'm sorry. Johnson I'm sorry but I have something to say. You are married now. There are procedures to all these things. You can't just leave your husband's house. He may have cheated but you are married now. You have to talk about this and sort it out." Jared explains.
"Jared, are you serious? Did you hear the part where Sagar dared to cheat on their honeymoon? On their honeymoon. The man just couldn't wait till at least after the honeymoon. That man isn't supposed to be called even our son in law." Miriam says.
"Or is because Sagar has invested in your company so much?" Mayank interferes.
"It's not..." Jared tries to explain.
"You're right Mayank. You would rather choose company rather than your son."
"No matter how I explain you all won't understand me." Jared stands up and leaves.
Miriam turns to her son, "Don't worry about anything. You're okay. Now lets all get some sleep and tomorrow we will discuss a little later."

The next morning, Johnson and Miriam are preparing breakfast while suddenly Jared comes downstairs hastily dressed in his suit.
"Good morning dad." Johnson greets but Jared just glares at him and leaves the house.
"Don't worry, he will come around." Miriam says. "Now everyone come lets have breakfast."

Bharat arrives in front of Johnson family's house. He walks to their entrance and presses the doorbell. After some minutes, the door opens showing Johnson. Before Johnson could close it, Bharat holds the door.
"Please can I come in?" Bharat pleas.
Johnson reluctantly agrees and opens the door wide open. Bharat walks in and Johnson closes the door.
"What do you want?" Johnson asks.
"It's about Sagar." Bharat says.
"What does he want?"
"I apologize on his behalf. Sagar can be stubborn at times."
"If that's all you have to say then leave."
"What do you plan to do from now?" Bharat asks.
"It's none of your business."
Bharat nods and looks at Johnson directly in the eye. Johnson stares back.
"Come back home." Bharat says.
"This is my home Bharat. So please can you leave, I have to eat breakfast."
Suddenly, the door opens and Jared walks in looking exhausted and defeated.
"Dad, what's wrong?"
"My shareholders, they are withdrawing from the company."
