The next morning when violet woke up she felt normal, as she rolled over to wrap her arms around Elliot, he wasn't there. She sat up and called out his name
"Elliot Hun?"
Elliot peeked his head into the door frame
"Good morning darling, time to get ready for your ultra sound."
Her heart skipped a beat, today was the day that they found out the gender.
She quickly got dressed and they both got into the car.
As they pulled up to the doctors, Violet starts worrying about everything. She was still smoking but had gotten better, would it hurt the baby? Will the doctors get mad?
Elliot could tell she was nervous, so he did his best to calm her down."Hey, it's okay."
Violet felt a relief in her chest when he said this, so they headed inside. As the were pulled to the back the doctors started the ultrasound.
"Alright everything looks good! Are you guys wanting to know the gender today?"
They both nodded their heads.
"Alright it looks like..."
Violet held her breath, she was so excited to see that gender it will be.
"Girl!"
Violet smiled up at Elliot. It was a girl!
"Oh!"
The doctor looked surprised, so violets hopes of everything being okay dropped.
"And boy! It seems your having twins!"
Violets mouth dropped, was this really happening? She looked up to Elliot, he was grinning, they were both so exited. After another 10 minutes they cleaned up and headed home. As they walked into the kitchen Elliot gasped and ran to violet.
"Oh my god!"
"What?"
He ran over and placed his hand on her stomach.
"Your showing."
Violets mind stopped racing just for a second, and as she looked up at this freckled face boy. She realized what she had wanted for so long. This. Just this. It was perfect, they both sat down on the couch and turned on the tv. Violet jumped into Elliot's lap and snuggled into his chest. Ever since the day she had taken drugs Elliot has been here for her. He never left. His friends always texted him but he says that Shes more important.
She always felt smothered around him, but She liked it. She had never had a relationship with a clingy guy. She liked it so much. She's not used to it at all. As she looked up to Elliot he seemed upset."What's wrong baby?"
"I'm just worried, how are we supposed to raise two babies?"
"We'll figure it out."
Violet tugged in Elliot's baggy sweater and he rocked her as if a were sitting in a rocking chair. Violet imagined that they were sitting near a beach. But all of that soon faded as she was hit with a wave of sadness. Elliot had forgotten about her pills, but she didn't say anything, she didn't want him to worry, he looked so happy. So she just laid there on his chest, her mind racing. She turned her head, sat up, and walked to her room.
