(Y/N) POV:
Since we still couldn't tell Shaggy's parents about our expulsion, we had to come up with a good enough lie to convince them that we couldn't go to school so that they wouldn't find out. The only thing we could come up with is by pretending to be sick in bed. I hate lying to Shaggy's parents, especially after all they've done for me, but what choice do is there? Not like we can explain that ghosts are responsible for us getting expelled, right?
"Feel better, honey. There's extra chicken soup for you and (Y/N) in the fridge," says Shaggy's mom.
I do some fake coughs, and slightly change my voice a little so that it sounds like I'm really sick. "Thanks, Mrs. Rogers,"
"Yeah, thanks, Ma. And don't worry about us," says Shaggy, doing a fake cough himself.
"I'll be on my cell phone all day if you two need anything," she says before leaving for work.
As soon as she's gone, Shaggy and I don't waist anytime getting out of bed.
"Alright, guys. We only have a few minutes before the others arrive, so let's get this place cleaned up, fast," I say.
"Mam, yes, mam," (F/A/N) says, doing a silly salute.
"Like, you got it, (N/N)," says Shaggy.
While (F/A/N) helps me tidy up my side of the room, Scoob helps Shaggy clean his side. And by that, I mean Scooby back-kicking all of Shaggy's dirty clothes in the closet, while Shaggy holds his closet door open. Once they're done, Shaggy uses a nearby chair to keep the door closed so that nothing falls out. Not a moment later, we hear a knock on the door.
"Perfect timing," Shaggy comments.
"I'll get it," I say, heading toward the door and opening it. "Fred, Daphne,"
"Hey, (Y/N)," says Fred.
As soon as Fred and Daphne enter, I close the door and Shaggy welcomes them. "Welcome to the party,"
"Party?" Daphne asks, confused.
"Oh, like, yeah. It's always a party here at Shagwell Manor. May I take your coats?" Shaggy asks. Once he realizes his mistake that they're not wearing coats, Shaggy tries to correct himself. "I mean, please sit down. Make yourselves at home,"
"Sweet pad you two got here," Fred compliments.
"Thanks," I say.
I'll admit, I'm a little nervous. This is the first time Shaggy and I have ever invited anyone over to our place. The only visitors we get are people who are either friends or co-workers with Shaggy's parents. Fred and Daphne take a look around the place, then decide to take a seat on the couch.
"I wouldn't sit there if I were you," I quickly say.
"Why not?" Daphne asks.
"It's a very old couch, and the legs are weak and not steadied right. So, might want to be careful, just in case. Trust me, I sat there one time, and the thing fell apart of me," I explain, not liking the memory of that time.
"Thanks for the warning then," Fred says.
"No problem," I say.
A moment later, Shaggy comes with a tray of snacks. "Bon appetit,"
"Thanks," Fred says, taking a bite of one of the treats. "Wow, these are really good,"
"Yeah," Daphne agrees, also giving the treats a try.
