This ship is Merlin/Escanor. (Not sure if there is a ship name for this so uh- yeah.)
I don't really bother with ships like this. But I would say that it's a pretty nice pairing and there is nothing wrong with it as far as I know. Not to mention it's pretty much smut-free! Hallelujah.
If I remember rightly, Escanor went through some tough crap and met Merlin afterwards, who he fell in love with at first sight because she was the only one that seemed to understand him and his power. (I think that's pretty adorable to me.) So after that, he made sure to keep her safe and stayed by her side for most of the time.
The fact that he lost his hope in life due to everybody hating him at one time, only to have Merlin come in and make him change his mind is probably what makes me not mind it at all.
There's not really much I can say, except that It's okay. xD
