10 years later

A young woman climbed the Fichtel Mountains along with her husband and new-born baby.

'Uncle!' She called out. 'We're here!'

In just moments, the wooden cabin's door opened, to show an oldish man in his 50's.

'At last!' He said, with a laugh.

The now 21-year-old Rosemary smiled as she approached him.

It wasn't until Rose fully faced him that Edmund's face fell.

'Is that..?' He asked, looking at the baby.

'Yeah.' Rose said, looking dearly her baby. 'His name's Lukas.'

Edmund looked at the small bundle of blankets, before turning to Rose.

'He looks alright. What about you?' He asked, obviously worried. 'Are you feeling well?'

Rose smiled. 'I could say I've been better, but I'm fine. I gave birth to him last week, so I can say I recovered a little bit.'

'I still suggested that she should've waited a little longer before climbing a mountain, but she really wanted you to meet Lukas.' Rose's husband said, as he wrapped his arm around Rose's back.

Edmund puffed, pleased. 'How's Alekzandre?'

'Oh, he's great! His orphanage couldn't go better, and he and his husband couldn't be happier to be Lukas' godparents.'

'I'm glad to hear that. When you see him next, tell him to come and visit me more often! I haven't seen him in two weeks already!'

Rose laughed. 'Don't worry. Once I get back in town, I'll sure have a talk with him about it!'

'You better!'

Ever since the two talked it out, things only got better. Edmund helped her escape from Lady Catherine's wrath by claiming that he found her dead, before helping her and Alekzandre find a place to live and sending a word to Alekzandre's mother. For shat they heard, she grew white hair after seeing her son gone, but now was getting better, knowing her son safe.

For the first time in forever, everyone and everything was fine.
