Αφοσίωση's pov
I grinned as the target came into view. Sitting on his throne, king Tasd of the kingdom Ghyt surveyed his people, or a better description would be, his slaves. Then he noticed my team and his eyes widened as he shrieked in fear, "Assassins!", he cried out to the guards, "Help me!". His cry or help normally would have started a fight, but the guards had been the ones to summon us, sick and tired of seeing innocent people, both men and women, including their own children being raped by the dictator that they called king. I stepped up to the throne where the king cowered to afraid to take us on. Our Armour glowed with enchantments in the dark of the throne room, making us seem even more intimidating.
"You have committed countless crimes against the Universe, and as the assassins of Chaos it is our job to stop you, what are your final words?". A grin illuminated the tyrants face as he showed the team just why I needed everyone there, "Warriors of stone", he cried, "Protect me". I slit the fat man's throat just as the gargoyles that surrounded the rooms came to life and attacked. I drew my two Falchions and attacked, my team and I working together like a well-oiled machine. As Leanne obliterated the last gargoyle using a fire spell, we all were swallowed by darkness. When we emerged, we were back in our castle, on the edge of the planet Chaosier, home of Chaos, his army and his assassins. We had never met the army, but we were going to be introduced in a few minutes. My eyes widened, "Everyone", I shouted to my team, "We have about five minutes until we meet the Army, change, now!". All four of us ran upstairs into our rooms to shower and put on a clean uniform. Once I was in a fresh uniform, my hood down, I did a mental check of my weapons;
Crossbow? Check
Enchanted bow? Check
Daggers? All six
Swords? Check
Arrows? Check
Bolts? Check
Magic enhancing amulet? Check
I sighed in relief, knowing I had everything and waited for the rest of the team, Leanne, Jasmine and J'Zander to come downstairs. J'zander was the first to arrive, his green skin reflecting in the candlelight. We had been offered electricity, but we all refused, we had running water, but other than that, everything was either powered by water, magic or fire. Leanne was next, her natural white hair falling in curls, framing her blue face. Jasmine arrived last, her short, black hair making her grey skin look gorgeous in the candlelight. I unconsciously rubbed the soulmate mark on my hip, it had appeared when we arrived, which was unusual, since according to Chaos, soulmates were part of an ancient race, the dragonese people of Tamriel, but I clearly had a soulmate, who was dragonese. Chaos appeared, late of course, in jeans and a suit jacket. He stared at us, before demanding we change, "This is a casual event" he scolded us, "go put on some normal clothes, and one weapon each, You hear me, Loyalty?" I rolled my eyes at the English version of my name, but went to change anyway.
I went digging through my drawers until I found some casual clothes that I had not used as camouflage for an assassination, what? We had been here for 10 Earth years, or, 10,000 Chaos years, but I had never been anywhere but the castle and the homes of my targets, and we cannot use our memories to travel anywhere if we have never been there, so I only had the clothing which Chaos had given me when we arrived. I ended up wearing black skinny jeans, a tight black t-shirt and black converse. I liked black, it reminded me of my uniform, and it helped hide my wings, which were like a moths' in the sense that they were powdery, not feathered. My wings were silver, which was unusual, since they normally are adorned with bright colours, but they represented that I came here seeking a new life, leaving everything behind me. I sheathed my swords across my back and put my amulet back on, it wasn't a weapon, therefore Chaos couldn't whine.
I was last downstairs this time, since the others rarely had to go undercover and had more clothes to wear out. The girls both wore dresses, while J'Zander wore a white tank top and sweats. Chaos grinned at my lack of weapons and grabbed the hands of the girls. J'Zander took the hand of his girlfriend, Leanne, while I grabbed Jasmine's. The darkness swallowed us, and the next thing we knew, we were in the palace of Chaos. I immediately took in my surroundings, so I could travel here again, my team following my lead. Once we were familiar with the room, Chaos announced that it was time to summon his commanders. He touched a black mark on his arm and six people appeared.
The mark on my hip tingled, one of these powerful commanders was my soulmate.
