"Many teens have been experiencing odd occurrences worldwide. If your teen is one, keep the calm," said the news reporter.
Many teens were reported to be found with these occurrences all across the world. A man named Charles Melbourne offered many of the teens families to let him take them to his academy made specifically for them. Only 9 of the countless teens were sent to the academy. He named it Misfit Academy.
The Academy stood very tall in front of all the trees surrounding it. Henrry walked up the steps to reach the door. His parents always thought he was the perfect child to have, but he never thought they would agree to send him to the academy. He turned around and walked back towards his parents.
"Goodbye mother and father," he mutters, holding back his tears. They both hug tightly for a couple of minutes before letting him go after his cries of needing oxygen.
"We love you, Henrry. Remember, we're always with you," they say as they point to Henrry's watch, which has a picture of his family on it.
After sharing another few goodbye messages, Henrry finally continues back up the steps to the doors. He knocks on the doors. No response. He knocks a few more times, yet no response again. After a couple of minutes, the door finally opens and reveals a beautiful academy. Mr. Melbourne walks towards the door.
"Welcome to Misfit Academy, Henrry," Mr. Melbourne says as he smiles at him.
Henrry slowly walks in. He turns his head in every direction to see every inch of the academy. He walks around the library. He has never seen this many books in his life. Still in awe, he looks in more rooms. An office, a dining room, and a very big living room. Before he walks out of the living room, he notices a group of teens.
"Well, I used to be the star athlete of my school," says a very tall, brunette boy.
"Who's he?" says one with a suit and tie on. They all turn around and stare at Henrry. Henrry slowly backs up, he isn't sure if he should be there.
"No, come sit down," says the tall boy with a smile.
Henrry walks over to the group of teens. He isn't sure what to say, so he just sits on the velvet couch besides the tall boy and a redhead girl. There's an odd silence for a bit, no one knows what to say. Then, the redhead begins to speak.
"Well, I'm Sarah Farrell," she says, looking at all the faces of the group.
"Sophie Kaylock," says a girl with brown hair wearing a casual outfit like any teen would wear.
"Lopez. Charlie Lopez," says a boy with dark brown hair to about his shoulders.
"Kalani Lockridge," smiles the tall boy.
"Andrew Bentley," says the boy with the suit on while taking of his sunglasses.
"Kieghan Hastings," says a girl smiling as well
There's a silence. There's two girls left that haven't said who they are. One seems to be shaking. She finally gains the courage to speak.
"Um...Syn Merriweather," she shakes.
"Catherine St.Clair," the last girl murmurs.
"I'm Henrry Pierce," Henrry says while twiddling his fingers.
After a couple of hours of talking, Mr. Melbourne walks into the living room. The group quiets down, waiting for what he has to say. He doesn't say a word at all. The group, confused, still wait to see if he is going to say something. Then, he finally decides to talk after the wait.
"Well, you 9 have powers that no one else possesses. You 9 are special. You each have a unique power to yourself that you will learn how to use properly. It may take for longer for some of you, or it may take much less than normal for some of you. This is you like your new home. You will make bonds with your fellow peers. But for now, you should be heading up to your rooms. Tomorrow we will begin training. Goodnight children," says Mr. Melbourne cheerfully.
They all made their way up the stairs. They all examined the rooms to see which one they liked the most. After a while, everyone had decided which room was theirs. They all grabbed their stuff from downstairs and carried it all the way back to their rooms.
"I usually don't have to do much work but I guess this is how it is now," Andrew sighs.
"Oh its not that bad," replies Catherine.
"Well, let's hurry up so we can get some good rest," says Duck.
About an hour passes and everyone is finally done moving and unpacking their stuff. They all enter their rooms and get ready for bed. Most of them are excited for what is stored in the future, others are worried about themselves. All of them are confused, but they sure are tired. One by one, they all fall asleep. But, Henrry is left awake, wondering what is going to happen.
He slowly gets out of his bed, putting on his slippers. He slowly opens his bedroom door in case there are any creeks or noises. He walks through the hallways of the academy, it almost seems like it is an estate. Suddenly, the sound of wood creaking echoes through the hallway. Henrry turns around but cant make out who the person is.
"What are you doing, Henrry?" the person questions Henrry.
"I'd say the same for you too," replies Henrry.
"Its Charlie," he says.
"Well, what are you doing up?" asks Henrry.
"I was looking for you," Charlie replies.
"Why?" asks Henrry again.
"Well, I heard someone walking. So, I went to see who it was," Charlie answers, crossing his arms.
"I was just going to go get some snacks from the kitchen, but you can come with me," Henrry says.
"Why not," Charlie shrugs.
They both make their way to the kitchen. They grab some snacks and make their way back. They walk through the hallways, which feel endless during the night. They try their best to keep quiet while walking past bedroom doors. But they can't stop laughing after Henrry told Charlie all his funny moments as a child. After a couple of minutes, they finally make their way back to their rooms which are facing each other.
"Well, it was fun while it lasted, goodnight Charlie," says Henrry as he yawns
"You too," replies Charlie.
Henrry smiles as he closes his bedroom door. He takes off his slippers and slips into his bed. It feels like a giant hug. He can't help but smile. He's more than excited to begin training with his new powers. After a few minutes, he falls asleep.
