I changed some of the phrasing so that it'd sound less awkward and also fixed a couple of grammar mistakes. All and all, the meaning stays the same.

Chou was born in a poor eastern mountain village, where everyone believes and worships in the "Dragon God" as their protector. He liked to create his own Kung Fu moves, which was his hobby. One time, he accidentally saved a mysterious monk who was being chased, but he was also seriously injured in due process. To repay him, the monk taught him some mysterious ancient Kung Fu which healed him from the brink of death. Now powered with ancient Kung Fu power, Chou swore to the monk that he would go to the Land of Dawn to protect the weak. He searched for worthy opponents to par with everyday and worked hard to change the world for the better.
''Chapter 2: King of Kung Fu
Ever since Chou learned ancient Kung Fu moves from the mysterious monk, he rose to fame among other mighty warriors thanks to his hard work and exceptional natural talents. They were really curious about his Kung Fu and came one after another to find him in hopes that they could practice with him. Speed is the most dependable trait in the world of martial arts; not only does Chou utilize speed in his moves, he even combines his Kung Fu moves with movements, as a result his opponents often could not figure out his moves before they were defeated.
''Chapter 3: Diamonds Cut Diamonds
Chou's aspirations remained the same. He believed that there must be a most powerful warrior in this land. He reached west to Eruditio where he met Bruno, the first worthy opponent he has met that who also came from an eastern* village. Knowing Chou's desire to become a great warrior and wanting to protect Chou, Bruno invited him to join Eruditio's guard, where he hopefully could use his Kung Fu to maintain peace rather than causing trouble. Chou gladly accepted and quickly completely several difficult missions for the team. However, as time went by, he started to disagree with how Bruno ran the team. He thought he would make a much better leader, and thus a ticking time bomb was planted within the team.
''Chapter 4: Center of Rangers
His great close-combat skills made Chou famous across Eruditio and the city guard became Eruditio's greatest protector, but Chou was still unhappy with Bruno's battle tactics deep in his heart. But after defeating one after another formidable opponents, Chou finally understood Bruno's intentions; in every battle, Chou's close-combat abilities would be used to effectively to limit the core members among the enemy, allowing the guard to secure victory after victory. Thinking back, Chou is grateful that Bruno turned him into a core member of the city guard.
*just a personal thought, I'm pretty sure it's NOT eastern, because the east is full of Asian characters and Bruno is very obviously not.
