Chapter 3- A Hint Of Tomorrow

*******

The next morning arrived, passing with today being a gift. However, the tables can turn, when this day was too different from yesterday.

Found at the kitchen table, lied the breakfast food that were on plates and dishes, but hasn't been touched by a finger.

Following the chairs, Jeraline, Eric, Erza and Jellal sat down with their unhappy faces, forming on their lips. None of them were cheerful, with their butterflies roaming all around their stomachs.

Jeraline rested her elbow on the table, her head leaned on her hand. She knew everything from what her parents talked about last night, which those problems are scattering around her head.

Eric on the other hand stared down at the floor with terrorized eyes, not moving an inch of his body. He was only scared of his older sister getting hurt, from what he saw yesterday that feared him.

Jellal and Erza noticed how both Jeraline and Eric weren't even talking at all like they used to on usual mornings. This seemed to be a lot different than anyone could expect.

Erza reduced the force of her eyebrows. "Jeraline-chan, Eric-kun, if there's something bothering both of you, you could tell us." Erza said, then looking on her food that was still hot.

Jellal figured out not to say a word with only just hearing and watching what their family will do. His eyebrows crossed, which also effected his fists to tighten up and quaver.

Jeraline took a deep breath, then chapping her lips. "Mama, Papa..." she began. "Am I giving you more problems?"

The family suddenly abandoned theirselves, almost as if they heard a loud noise, yet Jeraline's voice was quiet like feather, however, her words were like stone.

Eric then moved his head up with a speechless face, innocently looking up at his parents who were incredibly shocked for a moment, but instantly, Jellal had the chance to speak first.

"Jeraline, what do you think of yourself to us? From hell, we both never think you are giving us problems!" Jellal yelled. He practically was serious about this, showing how both his hands hit the table hard, that Jellal really means it.

Erza pursed her lips. "Is it because of what happened last night? As in... Taking an ear on our conversation?" she asked, sounding very protective.

Jeraline steeped a breath. Picks have been coming up in her mind, she'll think of anything, most of the time what's happening now.

She then glowered her face. "You and Papa are gonna leave later, right?" she asked. "Because of a certain guild... Ebusa Coast?"

The way Jeraline mentioned the guild felt thin and curvy, if she was very certain she knew the exact guild, which she did.

Jellal and Erza were shocked with another whiteness filling their faces. They were completely blank, then Jellal's hand slowly tugs Erza's under the table, then holding it.

Erza decided to take the answer. "We have to. For you, Jeraline-chan. Eric-kun has a possibility that he'll get involved, which will be even worse." Erza paused. "Even if we don't want to, it's for both of your sakes."

Her heart was racing rapidly. She still had those feelings she feared of, of her own daughter and son getting killed.

"You two will be fine, right? It's just like a normal time when Papa and I are on a mission." Erza nearly chocked, holding her tears once again.

Jeraline gestured her head with a slight smile. "I can defend myself. I also have to defend Eric-kun, if the circumstances go the other way around. But the fact that you guys are leaving us and fighting for me since I'm a huge obstacle, disappoints me, Mama, Papa." Jeraline sighed, explaining all the matters that will occur.
